If I'm a betting man, they don't add net seats in the bowl and end up putting seating above the south side once they expand that.

That particular phase will have to be paid back almost solely on suite sales and ticket revenue because that's all it really provides.

I'm more than ok with not adding net seats, but like the look of a complete bowl. There could be some creative ways to not add....or maybe just add a 1000 or whatever and do this I think.

Just keeping the current number of seats from the N endzone should be pretty easy right? How about getting rid of the SE and SW bleachers.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Do that, and/or maybe "arc" down the seating so that the corners are equal to bowl and maybe only 10 rows at the lowest/center portion of NEZ.

so they'll bring the WSC across from the training table to make it look complete?  I assume the NE corner would get redone whenever we overhaul the east stands.

on the original master plan they showed the NW and NE corners getting angled in.  that's something I really hope they do, because some of those seats really suck, they're actually north of the endzone.

This sounds a lot like the varsity club/SC addition that was always supposed to be Phase 3.

I think the NE corner was eventually supposed to be some sort of family plaza or something like that, so yeah, that makes sense.

I too would like to see some seating that wraps all of the way around, with tunnel entrances for the team. It doesn't have to be as tall as the south endzone... Maybe a third of the way up? That would be, what, 5,000 seats at most?

5,000 seat in new north end
(1,900) existing seats in the endzone fun zone that get replaced
(500) existing seats in those temp metal bleachers in SE and SW corners
(500) existing seats on west side when bleachers get converted to chair backs

The result would be a net increase of about 2,100 seats. Enough to provide a measurable increase, but not too much that we wouldn't have a hope of filling it.


Chairbacks:
West side currently has chairbacks for part of Sections 4 and 6, and most of Section 5. My plan would result in chairbacks for sections 3 thru 7 that match the number currently in Section 5. Because chairbacks take up more room than bleacher seats, we would lose a little capactiy on the west side. However, we would be able to sell the chairbacks for more $$ than bleacher seats...

I'm with no more seats. I'm sure whatever is done will be amazing need on what I've read here. Getting all worked up (or even a little worked up) about fully enclosed seems silly to me.

I like this idea, but am all for adding additional seating if it can be filled on a regular basis.  I don't care if they are crappy seats that have to be sold for cheap.  They'll still make money (concessions, etc.) and any additional seating, enclosure adds to noise level.

Yeah, no. That stadium is awful and small-time because they don't have permanent bleachers on all 4 sides of the field. Sorry. Specifically mentioned Missisippi State's stadium earlier.

well its hard to put what our jumbo tron to look like into a pic, its the only stadium i could find that has what we are doing.....and miss st is going to be legit when its done
