Two eternal flames would be good, but would need to incorporate some cats to really pull it off properly.

Also, the papal conclave thing that Belvis mentioned.  I've given it some thought and that I think that would be good too.

Tractors would be a sensible approach as long as they produce enough smoke.  Keep in mind, our asphalt parking lot is roughly the same size as St. Peter's square, so this would be a good place for cat fans to gather together for the announcement.

the smoke is from Currie's failed new-coach-hire ballots burning.  Of course, the process of Lon Floyd shuffeling ballots to the fire would take place in a secretive location deep within the castle, upon one of our several decks.   

So, the tractor smoke would be a bit redundant, IMO.
