my favorite part about the tree butthurters is they keep posting pictures of trees that cut the sidewalk capacity in half, pretty much proving CC's point right.

it would be like when i bought a kobe angus wagyu ribeye steak and cooked it to perfection (rare) and then realized that i didn't have any A1 sauce to put on it.  steak ruined.  i threw it away and went to sonic instead.

Haha, look at ol' piss over there in his chef's outfit cooking his steak.

imagine if we played stanford, at home.  holy hell would they be pissed at this treeless WSC concept.

But then they'd see Snyder eating Taco Bell and everything would be good again.

This is a really incredible post for a couple of reasons. You are one of the best, Jakesie60.

You know what all those arch-e types say about foot-traffic and landscaping:  "Trees a crowd."

If it's so important to not impede pedestrian traffic, does that mean there won't be tents and booths and crap like that all over the front of WSC on game days?

Something tells me that won't be the case.

I don't really care about trees one way or the other, I just don't buy the "absolutely cannot impede pedestrian traffic" argument because every single game day the stadium is surrounded by portable stuff that impedes pedestrian traffic flow

The only consideration that it should be given is coming up with some way to get them out of the front of the stadium. It looks like trash and diminishes the game day atmosphere, while impeding foot and vehicle traffic. All of that crap should be relocated to the back of the parking lot, as far away from the stadium as it can possibly get.

Folks, all you need to know is that there are 365 days in a year and on six of those days the trees would have made our lives a living, breathing nightmare.

Trees, more like destructive hell-fire of the college football stadium game day experience.

I think we should maybe ditch the trees and the sidewalks altogether and put in Konza prairie grass in their place.

I don't know, Belvis.  Incorporating native grasses seems like a really bad idea.  Looks pretty horrible, plus it would probably be a nightmare for Harley Day.

I was told today by a guy who thinks he is closely connected that the cost overrun is approaching 25 million due to extensive change orders by KSU. I have no way of knowing reality but I am skeptical of the information. Anyone heard anything like this?

Is it incorporating more things into the scope, or "cost overruns"? Because CC already commented on my cut and paste from the regents agenda, where K-State was going to the Regents finance group to explain the expansion of the scope in this phase of the master plan (the master plan  :ohno:).
