Should be some interesting stuff happening in next couple weeks. This week and next the big tower cranes should be getting fully assembled, next week or week after the Cats Closet building will be torn down.

Can you report, or do you know where they stand in terms of starting Phase III??
Hearing that certain parts of Phase 3 are being fast-tracked, things that aren't new square footage projects such as the weight center, recruiting lounge, and alumni seating area. The other parts of phase 3 are what is being targeted for quick turnaround. Not sure if they'll be in place for 2013 or 2014. Rest of phase 3 and 4 are probably going to be combined into one big fundraising effort similar to the BTF. Heard there is significant interest in some sort of living/hotel/dining area, basically would require AthDept to "rent" that space out to a 3rd party that would operate (which would allow for

This was a few pages back, but would the Living/Hotel/Dining Area be incorporated into a facade on the East side to cover the erector set look? Or is this the the project that would be in front of the west side of Bramlage in Phase 4 or 5 (I forgot which).
Not in the know here, but from looking at the "Master Plan" my guess would be the west side of Bramlage as the first option.
Now, covering up the erector set look on the east may sound good, but way (way, way) down the line having nothing in the way over there may potentially allow another suite level or two above the upper deck. Though unrealistic now, as the stadium gets enclosed more and more, and if Manhattan continues to grow in population and wealth, it may be something to consider in 25 - 35 years. They could always build a facade that wouldn't be too huge of a deal on the east side and if it needed to come down it wouldn't be the loss of a huge expense (compared to hotel/dining/living).
