I think it looks like super hot sex. Remember what our stadium looked like pre-WSC? We were excited about this:
Man, we were pathetic.
The cumulative amount (or lack thereof) of capital improvements under Urick/Weiser is staggering. Maybe $10-15 million total in a period of about 15 years? Then Currie comes along and raises that amount in about a week.
Only substantial thing I can recall since the early 90s was the east side
Urick (a castoff from Iowa State) facilitated the East Side football stadium expansion and the incredibly incompetent baseball reconstruction in which the the baseball team played 75 percent of its games on the road during the 1999 season because they tore down the existing stadium and couldn't get a new one built in time. They essentially built the new stadium on a pro-bono/ad-hoc basis because Urick was so incompetent that he couldn't raise $5 million to build a mediocre stadium from the outset (the second it was done a year later, it was already middle-of-the-pack in the Big 12). Then, Weiser followed and, I believe, the only improvement he made was the horribly short-sided "enhancement" of the north-side of the football stadium so that it didn't look like a mud pit anymore.
These two clowns illustrate the degree of damage that dumbass ADs can do to an athletic department (particularly if strung together in back-to-back tenures). And, on top of that, their combined compensation probably exceeds $3-4 million.
Two ADs who probably made a few million dollars combined during their tenures. And, collectively, they barely facilitated more than that in combined facility improvements. Ridiculous.
