I'm basing my information on that it was within the scope of the bid for the field wall and east side improvements. I haven't read any public announcements.

Dax can probably debunk me, but I thought average life span was about 7 years, so as rough as we are on the field and the timing of these final field level improvements, 6 years isn't really that early.

I thought it was just from the field wall out to where the removals ended. To be fair, I only spent a few minutes glancing at the plans.

I just looked again and you appear to be correct. Not sure why I thought the field was being replaced too. Sorry for the fake news everyone

The "new" turf over the north/south harley track is being replaced, and turf on the east/west harley track added.

the outside ring of turf should be purple to avoid the mismatched turf.

Yep, in terms of turf life cycle, still time left. But with that said, heavy use or not if I'm in charge at K-State I'm going to AstroTurf and I'm all like, WTF

. We're finding out over time that the model of GameDay grass that K-State (and some others) bought was Pure T gross AF from an aesthetics perspective. They newer types (OSU for example) do not have the matting issue. It also points out again why we need practice fields next to the stadium (sorry asphalt lovers).

But nice pics SDK, and guys, I don't know if I mentioned this, but I think that wall is going to look HAF. We'll see, but that's a hunch.

Quick question: are there legal ramifications for walking through an unlocked gate at the stadium?

Depends if the snipers are present, like on that faithful, stormy, weather delayed game day against Central Florida. When our snipers shot that CFU running back and prevented a sure TD.

On that first picture it looks like there is a square "inset" in the center of the wall for a powercat, or something else. I have not noticed that on any renderings. Am I seeing things??

Hopefully it's for the metal sponsor boards. The Case IH ones, etc.

Stade will lose a lot of it's grass roots fan experience if those front rowers don't have them to slap on third downs.
