man they are really holding onto the idea that the Anderson complex is really nice. I supposed that's all you can do in their situation.

Well, you have to remember, "really nice" for a Jayhawk fan is quite different than "really nice" for K-Staters. 

Your experiences create expectations and and understanding of words.

In their defense, I used the think that BSFS/Vanier was pretty nice.  It's easier to believe when you surround yourself with likeminded people.

Yes, I enjoy how the keeping referencing the fact that the Anderson Football Complex is 'world class' and that K-State just caught up with them with Vanier.

The simple facts are the Anderson Football Complex was/is a slightly newer, slightly larger version of old Vanier, that had a slightly more modern layout and a few nicer things than old Vanier had.    Like I've said before, comparing the current AFC to New Vanier is like comparing a two year old BMW 3 Series just off of lease, to a Bentley Mulsanne sitting on the show room floor.

At this point, calling KU and their facilities and afterthought is being pretty generous.

The Anderson/Anschutz/Wagnon/Parrot complex is an absolute dump. After working on projects for my company on KU's campus, I have never been more proud at the facilities at KSU. I have stories for days on corners that were cut, code issues, safety violations, etc. from the athletic buildings at KU just because there wasn't money to do it right.

Holy crap, I'd never actually seen the inside of Anderson. I thought some of you where exaggerating, but it really is not good for brand new. There is absolutely no way to convince me that was a brand new facility and not renovations of some older, shittier building. I saw very little that was actually better than anything K-State had 10-15 years ago and other than the size of things, it seemed on par or worse than Wichita State.

Again, congrats to KU for building a slightly better version of old Vanier and then getting people to believe it was "state of the art".
