BSFS Expansion Thread

Not that I care all that much about halftime and the band.  I mean, I respect those kids work hard and like what they're doing.   The most important thing the band does is the pre-game and in game stuff.   Halftime is just fluff. 

Maybe someone needs to tell Frank that literally 8-10,000 people in the upper level have no idea that there's a band because the band can't be heard.   Got to nearly any other college football stadium that has cantilevered levels and the band will be in an area that projects into the stadium as much as possible.

Agree. Was cool with the band kids having great seats because they work hard, but now that everyone mentions it, yeah. I can't really hear 'em. Would like to, though. Thoroughly enjoy twisting/wiggling. (SEZ)

I've spoken to an ITK person and this ITK elite is saying as they continue to add fixtures and various accoutrements to Vanier 2.0, that it's absolutely amaze balls.   Easily one the top football facilities in the country.

In this case real life mirrors or exceeds the marketing fluff and PR for the facility.   

This is fantastic for K-State Football.

But as of now pics

I would love to move band to the NE corner. Let's face it, those will not be great seats so we might as well do it right and really dress it up for them, give them the space they need and for the first time in years, let the whole stadium hear them play.

Sorry, but I prefer to see them remain in place.  I'd rather not hear the band myself it if adds to the home field advantage.  Opposing coaches hate the band where it is at, and if things start going bad for them, the never ending noise just makes things seem worse.  Yes, students can be rowdy, but body for body band loud outranks the average student.

I don't want KSU to be like other schools for the sake of being like other schools.  I prefer when the make changes they make competitive sense so they give KSU an added edge.

FWIW the PAC 12 will not allow the visiting team to be on the same side of the field as the students and or band, must be some sort alleged home field advantage

So I was just told this thing got done for quite a bit under-budget (might be construction lingo for 1 dollar under budget), does your ITK Elite know anything about this?

So does the band take up 450 seats? Or are there 450 band members? Because if that's only band members, I would bet they take up closer to 750-1000 seats. It takes a lot of space to play an instrument.

Actually, the way they enthusiastically whip those instruments side to side during Wabash, they need a lot of space, even for piccolos.
