I think you're right. The Aruba outdoor access points look a bit different unless they came out with new models.

Perhaps it's just a tarp to divert attention of the workers elsewhere and will be improved upon at a later date. I'd have a hard time imagining choosing that color back otherwise

Okay kiddos, is wifi taking you straight to the Internet? Or is this the DAS system that was bid about a year ago where the winner was to contract with the various cell phone providers, who would run their networks into a DAS hub to be distributed across the network?

It very well could just be Wi-FI. But too make a long story short, there are DAS vendors who are awarded bids where they install the DAS system, and then are required to bring in multiple wireless providers who in turn bring in links (that's plural) off their backbone networks to the DAS hub, and the DAS then distributes the signal throughout the venue and/or campus. That's what K-State bid several years ago. The winning bidder had to negotiate on their own with AT&T, Sprint, Verizon etc. and manage that relationship over a period of years. Some DAS installs include both Cellular Wi-Fi and straight to the Internet Wi-Fi. When I was involved in more WLAN stuff, the WLAN manufacturers made AP's that had a port for a DAS antenna or panel. So only one drop had to pulled from the hub to cover a DAS antenna and an AP. But that may have evolved to a single distribution antenna that covers both now.
