Yah, looks like there's a rotary mixer/flailer working on the southwest corner.  Those sticks are the start of the structural foundation.  I can't believe how much dirt they're excavating.

This, concrete can't be allowed to freeze as it cures. Concrete does produce heat as part of it's curing but if it's too cold it need to be covered (as it is now) and if it's really cold you need to add heaters (but not need, really cold is like -20 F).

Wow, I hadn't checked the progress for a few days. The buildings are completely gone, the piles of dirt are gone and a smooth base has been established for the VFC footprint. I think they're going to switch from destruction to construction any time now. The Destructocam was fun but I'm ready to see a buidling start to appear.
