Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

Populous will be the architect for NEZ, The North side of Vanier will be very castle, picture a mini-WSC. 2 Big Columns in the middle and the big arched windows on each side.  The stadium side though...WOW:

It will have 2 corner boards NE/NW, the concourse level will match up with East/West side you can walk around the stadium and seating will basically match the west side just wrapped around, except there are 2 triangles in front of the corner boards that are a grassy terrace, and 2 tunnels...the existing road will become a tunnel, with another in the opposite corner.  I saw pictures today and all I can say is wow...looks like they are planning on turning the grassy area N/E of Vanier into another tailgating zone too as lots of tents were placed in those areas.

One of my subordinates (sqwawk) asked me how big of a check the endowment was cutting for this. I told him we were paying for it with Railroad Bonds and Disney Dollars.  He said he wished Ku would have invested in those. I said, duh - get back to work

The expanded stands and concourse are just components of Vanier 3.0, and as a long time observer of these projects I can definitively say that $50 to $60 million places Vanier 3.0 at the very highest end of projects of this scope and purpose.

If this project happens, and there's no reason as of now to think it won't, it will be on par cradle to grave/ground breaking to completion with the top 5% of similar projects in terms of scope and price tag.

Straight out, this project as planned, easily surpasses dollars wise every other project of similar scope and purpose at every other Big 12 school to date.   It surpasses the two former Big 12 North schools most similar to K-State by 60% dollar wise, and even surpasses OU's multiple upgrades to the Switzer Football Center, as well as surpassing the recent football player/admin/training facilities at Baylor, TCU, and Tech by wide, wide margins.   It's hard to say about OSU, but I doubt the football player/admin/training component of T. Boone Pickens Stadium cost $50 to $60 million given the total price tag and scope of the entire project.

Guys Vanier 3.0 doesn't matter unless we can lower the parking lots by 30 feet. Until then we won't have a real stadium.

If Vanier 3.0 becomes the S.S. Whitney Snyder, I think we should call it Harbor of the Prairie.

Too much hype can be bad.  Whenever I get really hyped up for a movie I'm always let down.  It's not that the movie wasn't great just too much hype.  For instance I had "Rocky Balboa" super hyped up in my head and it's not the worst movie ever made but it seemed that way because of the hype.  You guys know what I mean in regards to hype?  #hype
