I'm hoping a few million of that estimated cost will go enclosing the corners as part of the project. Then a few million to demo/relocation of offices and stuff, so the actual facility itself may be closer to $40 mill.

Did the WSC start out at 65m and end at 85m?

Fingers crossed for some more mission creep  :crossfingers:

Arkansas's new facility cost $35 million, and is considered a top 25 complex nationally. Oregon's new facility is estimated at $65-70 million and would be considered one of/if not the best in the country, so something between the 2, but more similar to Arkansas.

P.S. KU's clip art complex was estimated at $31.million.

Also, consider that we have already built the training table, which was included in Oregon's new facility iirc.  That means that the price is actually much closer to Oregon's when comparing apples to apples.

The KU facility was a new build though not a remodel

Yeah, and KSU NEZ will also be a new build.

I guess my thought/concern is what we do with seating in the NEZ.  If we do no seating, you can build a Taj Mahal.  If you build some seating, you're probably eating into the facility a little bit.

I guess that my personal preference would be to eliminate seating in the NEZ, put up a gigantic video board, and then put some additional seating in the upper deck above a SEZ suite expansion to offset the seats lost in the NEZ.

That way you only need one big video board, we connect BSFS/OOD, and we have what's essentially a horseshoe stadium.

$50m earmarked just for the NEZ and the training table area has already been built. :kstategrad:
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

And the thing is, if we do end up putting seating in the corners, a few rows along the north, etc. if we make it similar to the seating/structure as the rest of the lower bowl, it will not add much cost. As that would be pretty much ground and concrete work. If we do seat backs/suites/something else, it could eat into the cost more, tho.

Currie must be confused, because they just finished installing a new sound system at Tointon last week. I heard it being blared on Thursday and it sounded great!

More from ADJC
- New sound system at Tointon being installed in June
- Probably don't need 6K seats at Tointon, but continue to make sure baseball has the best/right  facilities.

Want sooooooooo bad!

20 rows across the NEZ (there's like 44 around the rest of the bowl) with lodge boxes and closed boxes at the top would be boss as hell.  Would look very cool on tv.

Put some sick ass limestone castle football complex behind it to mirror the outside facing part of the WSC.  Throw in mad tricks and treats in there for players and coaches.  We could kick ass for the next 25 yrs.

I hope this is true. More money for football out of that 12m if true.  And baseball deserves good things.  Wish they could get a screen for this year

Sounds good to me. Pan, sorry, no permanent bleaches on any of the 4 sides around the field is very small-timey. Boone-Pickens will never be totally elite because of it. :frown:
