the new pressbox is going to be approximately the exact same height as the east side and the proposed restaurant/hotel would be in the southwest corner and would more/less connect the pressbox to bramlage. that's if it ever ends up happening, which sounds like it's far from 100%.

tell me more about this restuarant and hotel.  is this the "potential TBD Space (condo, office, retail, etc.)" that is referenced in Phase IV of the Masterplan?

If you want to watch cats closet get demolished that's happening on monday morning.

Incorrect. Happening next week, most likely Tuesday

The Masterplan is the best Oasis song imo.

Does the guy who operates the tower crane have a piss bucket up there? I hope so, looks like a 15 minute ladder climb each way.

yes, yes they do.

IIRC the crane at the Capital building is a 30 or 45 minute trip each way.

I guess it's a 25 minute trip, according to Terry Pierce.

North tower crane assembly has started. Should end up being a little bit taller than the south crane.

Not sure which crane should be Frazier with this news. The south is up first (older), but north will be taller.

also, they're like five days ahead of schedule currently. also need to hope for a winter like last year because most of the actual work will start after the last game has been played.

don't all of the townie hotels really flip their crap when a new hotel is talking about opening?  I thought I read somewhere that this was a thing.

I thought MHK didn't have jurisdiction over the school, just the state.

No not really, they just have to be part of the "club" to get approval. K-State's hotel thing will be part of the "club". For crying out loud, they are build a mega hotel thing with an underground parking garage on the corner of North Manhattan and Bluemount/Anderson. Not one peep from the "Club"

i think there are people who probably don't believe that the university needs to be getting into the local hotel and restaurant business. at least that's how it was explained to me. that there would have to be a lot of convincing, etc. for it to happen and it hasn't happened yet. dunno.

I pledge that if KSU builds a stadium hotel/restuarant that doesn't look like ass, and builds a limestone wall around the field, I won't make anymore K-State0 jokes until 2020.

I've been watching them with no issues. Might want to contact someone who works up there if you're having problems.

Does K-State offer a degree in hotel/restaurant management?
