The expanded stands and concourse are just components of Vanier 3.0, and as a long time observer of these projects I can definitively say that $50 to $60 million places Vanier 3.0 at the very highest end of projects of this scope and purpose.
If this project happens, and there's no reason as of now to think it won't, it will be on par cradle to grave/ground breaking to completion with the top 5% of similar projects in terms of scope and price tag.
Straight out, this project as planned, easily surpasses dollars wise every other project of similar scope and purpose at every other Big 12 school to date. It surpasses the two former Big 12 North schools most similar to K-State by 60% dollar wise, and even surpasses OU's multiple upgrades to the Switzer Football Center, as well as surpassing the recent football player/admin/training facilities at Baylor, TCU, and Tech by wide, wide margins. It's hard to say about OSU, but I doubt the football player/admin/training component of T. Boone Pickens Stadium cost $50 to $60 million given the total price tag and scope of the entire project.
