Freely admit, I was riding high on 3MAW and the Big XII Championship.
I tried not to meltdown too hard last year after we swung and missed on every linebacker we recruited last year and look where that got us. Where it got us was one of the shittiest linebacker corps in the Snyder era and a loss to an FCS program to start the year.
I'll be damned if I make that mistake again this year.
The only thing that I can think of is that they think that a redshirt Ramirez, Soph Davis, and Soph Moore are what they're looking for at LB. Throw in Derricott somewhere.
But you need depth. Clarke is at least safe depth.
It's also worth nothing that Tate is taking up a LB scholarship right now. I'm just going to throw that out there.

I forgot to throw Dakorey Johnson out there.
So, you'd at least have a two deep of something like...
SLB: Derricott (JR)/
Moore (JR)MLB:
Ramirez (RS-FR)/Clarke (SO)/
Davis (SO)WLB:
Johnson (SR)/
Truman (SR)I mean, seriously, that's not bad.
I guess the only thing is that they think Davis and Ramirez are THAT much better than Clarke, and he's no better than the guys in bold.
