i haven't followed recruiting for since my signing day meltdown, so excuse me if i'm out of touch, but i've been doing some serious thinking about recruiting for the last 20 minutes.
i believe we are going to sign a top 40 class this year, you guys.
here are my reasons for thinking this:
1. everyone around us is in decline: KU - obvious, ISU - worst team in iowa, NU - they're going to go 25 years between confy championships and they can't do crap about it, MU - they are going to get killed a lot this season, OU - they aren't the same but will still take the best kansans, OSU - this doesn't apply to them
2. all of these teams have coaches whose long term outlooks are even MORE precarious than our own septuagenarian's.
3. football culture is on the rise at ksu
4. i haven't eaten since before the chiefs game
BOTTOM LINE:
if we negative recruit the shithole programs that we compete with we could get some good guys out of KC.
