why are we melting down about clarke in september? is it too late to talk to him? i will join in if it is.

while not melting down, i guess i just think it would've been nice for kstate to have followed up on the lead they were given about clarke being great when they were given it, just in case he did/does in fact end up being great. instead they took the phone call and said thanks and then went back to staring at walls for five hours.

RD, if it makes u feel better they do they exact same thing to HS coaches as well.

So much of our shitty defense has to do with the shitty 09, 10, 11 recruiting classes. The 2012 class wasn't bad and the 2013 is quite bit better then what we have seen in a while. We really put ourselves in a hole by having to land 1st year JUCO contributes last year.

But you need depth. Clarke is at least safe depth.

It's also worth nothing that Tate is taking up a LB scholarship right now.  I'm just going to throw that out there.

So, you'd at least have a two deep of something like...

SLB: Derricott (JR)/Moore (JR)
MLB: Ramirez (RS-FR)/Clarke (SO)/Davis (SO)
WLB: Johnson (SR)/Truman (SR)

I mean, seriously, that's not bad.

I guess the only thing is that they think Davis and Ramirez are THAT much better than Clarke, and he's no better than the guys in bold.

we obviously need depth so any decent recruit that wants to play here should be welcome. its been noted multiple times that coach is gearing up for a run at it next year. oversign the crap out of this class if needed so we have plenty of depth in 2015 and 2016

yup. its obvious snyder doesn't want to win, else he'd make tate earn a spot (as he does for all the other individuals). no way is tate going to outbeat a clarke or even ramirez (sp?). effin stupid.. just give the scholly to someone who will help win games, not anchor everyone else down. no I in team, but there is in wIn - championship - and first, need all the I's we can get.

Tate shouldn't have a scholarship even if he were the best player on the team. He gets free tuition already, his family is worth millions, and if he cared at all about the program, he would donate his scholarship to somebody else.

ITN source told me that Derricott told him this past Saturday that "I will be better than AB"... he also apparently runs a 4.43 electronically timed 40 from what the ITN said.
