We should seriously just let Nike at least make us new uniforms to show our recruits on their visits.

So this is what K-State is competing against if we decide to start buying recruits

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf---the-system--a-great-read-on-college-football-s-inner-workings-202143287.html

Quote
Recruiting is a huge focus in the book, ranging from the rise of 7-on-7 teams, the task of NCAA investigators trying to control things and even a chapter on the pursuit of Sealy (Texas) High School star Ricky Seals-Jones.

Seals-Jones, once a Texas commit who wound up signing with Texas A&M last February, and his family open themselves up to the entire process. The juiciest part is an alleged offer to the Jones family from a "top-20 program" – not A&M – for the following: $300,000 in cash, use of a luxury suite during football season, eight season tickets and $1,000 per month for Ricky and $500 for the family.

"Oh, it was higher than that," Chester Jones, Ricky's dad said. "It was a lot higher than that." Chester Jones said the offers grew as high as $600,000 for his son's signature on a national letter of intent – one SEC school and one ACC school said they'd double any offer – but he declined them all out of principle and the fear of inevitably getting caught.

My guess is Clemson and Carolina.  Maybe Auburn, but that's the obvious guess.

So how much do you think A&M paid, then? I'm betting they exaggerated some of those other offers and A&M gave them about $300,000.

I read that his mom will be a large deciding factor in the decision. Somebody please tell me her and Brian are still married

Pretty sure they are.

Have been together since high school, they work for the same company in Wichita.
was she ever a student at Kstate?

when like 7th grade sd was at a middle school basketball tourny at the DODGE CITY CIVIC CENTER (we brought out a measuring tape and measured the goals to show they were 10 feet Hoosiers style) he was assigned Brian Goolsby's locker to change in and he was kind of a big deal as he was a well known stud football and basketball guy and he was really happy he didn't get stuck with some other pud Red Demon's stupid locker.

It would have been amazing if those goals measured a couple inches too short.

Being from Liberal, I can confirm that trips to DC and GC while Martin Lewis played were crazy.  He dunked on so many bitches in high school.  Martin's cousin was Lamar Chapman of KSU Cats fame.  That family was super athletic.

Being from Dodge I saw plenty of Martin Lewis dunks, my favorite being when he was a 7th grader and hammered in a tourney we had.  But my favorite Martin Lewis play was when he mushed Eddie Sutton and declared himself for the NBA.
