My high school kicker had a heart condition and couldn't get medically cleared to do anything but kick field goals and punt.

Hm. Sounds like my "no heart" assessment may be more accurate than i previously thought.

Oh, he had a heart. It was just incredibly weak. Plus, you would think he would be really good at kicking and punting, since that's all he was allowed to do, but he was only good enough to be the backup punter. He was money on extra points, though.
