I am so conflicted.

On the one hand, I see us lose great players who were highly ranked, highly recruited guys in Arthur Brown and Chris Harper.

On the other hand, I see use lose other great players Collin Klein (not recruited by Snyder), Malone and Chapman who weren't highly recruited guys.


So, I can't figure this recruiting crap out, like at all.

lol.  I wouldn't spend much time worrying about it.  Charlie tries to flash rings and idiots who have no perspective are impressed.  Tom Brady and the Patriots were not successful because of Chuck Weiss...they've been even more successful since.  His last 4 years as a college head coach have produced horrific seasons.  He promises kids things otherwise he wouldn't bring in a dumpster fire like Christ and run the previous QB off.  But that only leads to resentment from kids who have paid their dues.  If Combs goes to KU then he won't need to compete for a position but it won't be so fun when KSU is up by 40pts in each of his two seasons and there are about 15,000 "fans" in the stands.  It is pure comedy watching some kid that would choose to go to KU over playing for Snyder.

meh, KU loses Hawkinson (LT), Zlatnick (LG), and Mengorelli (C).  Their offense will struggle mightily next season just as Weiss' Notre Dame offenses did after he had wholesale losses on the OL and other positions following his 2nd year.  Then our returning starting five OL (including 3 interior OL for Combs tenure) will go to work.  I know the side I would rather be on.  Our interior guys would be aware of his decision and would not take pity.

KU had a good ground game this season...it will be gone next season.

Of the 9 teams we play next year in conference, ku and Charlie is the team that worries me the least. By about a gazillion.

The fact that the potential to secure commitments from a dozen JuCos has their fans extatic is somewhat bittersweet, so pathetic and sad, yet so hilarious.

I'm lol'ing at you dumbfucks who just dismiss losing kids to ku (or anyone in conference).  we rough ridin' want(ed) Combs.  we rough ridin' (might) lose out on him.  and it's to a school in conference (who one like one rough ridin' game in conference since out of it's last 30 or something).  we wanted him and couldn't land him.  it's beyond rough ridin' horrible.  whether or not Combs is a 3* or 2*, we want him.  And if we can't close, then once again, this rough ridin' staff will continue to show how it can take conference winners and rough ridin' wreck them.  they are making it a science.
