I'm lol'ing at you dumbfucks who just dismiss losing kids to ku (or anyone in conference).  we rough ridin' want(ed) Combs.  we rough ridin' (might) lose out on him.  and it's to a school in conference (who one like one rough ridin' game in conference since out of it's last 30 or something).  we wanted him and couldn't land him.  it's beyond rough ridin' horrible.  whether or not Combs is a 3* or 2*, we want him.  And if we can't close, then once again, this rough ridin' staff will continue to show how it can take conference winners and rough ridin' wreck them.  they are making it a science.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Snyder will have a top three (Big 12) recruiting class every year. I don't two shits what the players are rated before they get here all that matters to me is how well they do in their time here.  I still cannot believe some of you rough ridin' idiots that do not get this.  11 All Big 12 players from the supposed worst ranked recruiting classes in the Big 12 tells you that he recruits and develops better than almost anyone.

I think more of the fear is what situation our next coach will be walking into.

I do not think we will have a next coach for five years.

I think the point is that if we can't recruit this year, we will not be able to recruit any year before Snyder retires, no matter when you think that will happen.

You can't praise Snyder as a coach for all the success we've had the past two years and then turn around and talk out of the other side of your mouth about his recruiting. The two go hand in hand. As long as Snyder continues to lead this program, other teams will be able successfully negatively recruit against us using his age.

If the next coach can't win without a bunch of 5 star recruits then he will be horrible and I do not want. Any coach that comes to K-State must me able to win with mostly 3-2 star recruits and the occasional 4 stars. I trust that Snyder will leave the cupboard full of players that he could win Big 12 championships with. So, if there is a huge drop off with the next guy, then it will be a product of him being a horrible coach and not Snyder's recruiting.

"One of the top junior college quarterbacks in the country is ready to make a decision.

Jake Waters (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Iowa Western C.C.) took his final official visit this past weekend, which went to Kansas State. Now, he will decide between the Big 12 and the Big Ten.

“It’s pretty much K-State and Penn State right now,” the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Waters said."

Neither offered, but Texas & Bama are out of the equation as of today.

I can't see how anyone with two playing years left and other options would want to go to Penn State.

What are you seeing that make him look like a stud?  Looks like an average speed big guy who is making plays because he is playing against slow, small guys.  :dunno:  I admit I don't know how to evaluate a kid, but it looks like whenever he has the ball in his hands the average, small town KS DBs are running with him step-for-step for 3 steps, then they bring him down.

Dayton Valentine, Baldwin — An All-Frontier League first-teamer at tight end and defensive end, the Bulldogs senior was the team’s best blocker and receiver, with 309 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Valentine had 45 solo tackles, five sacks, six tipped passes, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Baldwin City has been known to pruduce a lot of 4 and 5 heart players.  Glad to see our staff locking crap down.

Watched Valentine all year. Incredibly strong. Won the 4A shot and discus last year and was the second best overall shot putter in Kansas. Will be the best this year.
He was not the team's best receiver, but did see him catch passes one handed. Could go into interior offensive line or D-line. Be interesting to see how he develops.
Great kid with great heart who has known hardships (his dad died of cancer).
