according to Lake Wales head coach Rod Shafer, the 6-foot-2, 295-pound senior is high on the top-ranked Wildcats as well.

"I would say that Kansas State would be his number one choice right now," Shafer said. "However he has some academic work to do and he has a test score he has to get before he can make any choices."

Shafer says Leath has plenty of in-state options, as UCF, Florida and Miami (Fla) are all possibilities for him.

"I think he’s definitely going to look at the in-state programs that have shown interest," Shafer said. "And Iowa State is in there as well because coach [Wally] Burnham has done a tremendous job of recruiting him."

One thing pulling Leath to Kansas State could be his brother, Melvin Pearsall. The former Florida State standout tight end of the late 1990s lives near the school and has helped Leath with his recruitment.

We may be able to count back 5-7.  I'm not sure.  Depends on how Akinola and Clement shake out and if they ever get to campus or not.
