there seems to be no evidence that popular recruiting rankings have any predictive properties with respect to our success on the field with snyder as our coach.  until he is not our coach anymore, I really can't be bothered to give a eff.  :dunno:

could you imagine how rough ridin' good we would be if bill didnt have to bleed every ounce of talent out of our recruits, think about how good we could be if we have a bunch of naturally talented kids at ksu and think about how good said players would be after they were "coached up" when they are already talented in the first place

Yeah, with every other program there is a correlation. It's great for Snyder that he doesn't have to play by those rules as much, but it sucks for the program. We're like the 1990s cyclist that always placed in the tour by doing it the right way. And then had to retire and start selling insurance to pay the mortgage.

Unfortunately for us, there's no "whole foods" league for organic football.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

well, you can start to be bothered to give a eff when you wake up and realize that the only coach in the history of coaches that doesn't have a strong correlation with recruiting rankings and success could keel over and die at any second because he's old as eff. if you think bill is going to be coaching the kids in this year's recruiting class as seniors you are delusional.

Maybe he will mold them into fine young men and solid football players before then, though. :dunno:

This is the biggest reason I want Dimel, fwiw. I don't think Snyder's recruits would handle a new system very well, but if we keep things as status quo as possible, maybe they will perform well enough in Dimel's first couple of years for the program to not roll off a cliff.

i hope the first part of your statement does happen, but its crazy and for the life of me i cant figure out why most tucks seem to continue to get behind recruiting the diamond in the rough players when there are diamonds already out in the open. its a testament to snyds and his coaching ability but the fact that 85% of our fanbase is fine with our recruiting kills me

Could turn pretty handsome if he signed EMAW.

Well, Bill admitted himself that poor recruiting resulted in 04-06.  So, there's that.

Poor recruiting is not the same thing as poor recruiting rankings. You cannot look at the product on the field this season and say that Bill did a poor job recruiting those players (the ones not recruited by Prince, anyway).

Lockett, Zimmerman, Tramaine(Kinda), malone, drob, Sams is enough for me.  We would need considerable transfer infusions to sustain though.

oh I realize it, it's just hard to get fired up about it when we're kicking ass so hard.  I know that no other coach could do what he's doing with the players he's getting, but what are you gonna do?  he's not gonna change and you can't really call for his head when he's kicking so much ass.  I'll curse his corpse when the next coach sucks because he has sucky players.

That tweet was about Jesse. . . His last name doesn't matter. How many people are named Jesse?
