You know, this kid looks ELITE. Maybe I'm getting my hopes up, but the '13 class seems to have a lot of studs looking our way. QB seems to be a pretty comfortable position for some time to come, as is. Signing Williams would solidify the position for years.

No kidding. Who wakes up and posts with such enthusiasm at 5:30am? This guy came ready to bbs today.

First of all, I don't even know what "bbs" means. Secondly, I was not waking up at 5:30, I was finishing up studying for accounting exam and got a little adderall boner when I watched some Damian Williams highlights & pictured him in a state jersey. As a Junior he looked like a soph or junior in college who is a very smart player and blessed with insane abilities. Hopefully this guy doesn't come with the price tag that Cam Newton did....

Honestly, I know exactly what you tried to do there..........BUT.........all I got from "googling" BBS was Bulletin Board System, Board of Behavioral Sciences (California), and Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics. How the hell is that supposed to help me out????

There is a difference between a scholarship LOI and a preferred walk-on LOI.  Big difference between "we got Myles Copeland to sign" and "Myles Copeland got to sign an agreement that KSU will allow him to be a part of the football team all season".  Normally I wouldn't be a dick about this, but it appears you are trying to pass this off as if it is a scholarship LOI or don't know the difference.

I know the difference but the news made it sound like he signed a scholarship. The kids a KU fan and had offers from KU, so why would he walk on at KSU

No one is reporting that he had a scholarship offer.  If a did sign a scholarship LOI, the 99% of the media failed us.  One the other hand,  I wouldn't be surprised.

Alabama's Nick Saban is considered by some to be the "hardest working man" in the recruiting biz. The postmaster of Tuscaloosa, Ala., might be next after Nick. Alabama made national headlines when it mailed 105 recruiting letters in a day to a running back from Atlanta this week, Norcross High School junior Alvin Kamara. Usually, Saban puts stamps on only about 4-6 letters per day to Kamara. "Yeah, I got home and they were failing out of my mailbox," Kamara said. "It was crazy but I liked it." It was yet another creative and innovative recruiting tactic by Saban, who finished with the nation's No. 1 recruiting class for 2012 earlier this month.

This is fantastic.  I don't expect Bill to do something like this, however, how hard is it to recognize that sometimes kids enjoy overwhelming attention.  Follow up Q: how hard is it to think of ways to provide that attention?  Saban's letter idea was original(to me at least) but still very simplistic.

Kickoff is possibly moving to the 35 yd line like the NFL did last year.  Whoever's returning won't get nearly as many opportunities.

I feel like I've watched enough to know when a kid is really talented or has the abilities that will translate well.  only thing we don't know about him will be the work ethic, toughness, or what is inside his chest.  I did read on his twitter that he is, apparently, working out every morning at 6am and that is during the basketball season so that should be a good sign in terms of "work ethic".

I feel like I've watched enough to know when a kid is really talented or has the abilities that will translate well.  only thing we don't know about him will be the work ethic, toughness, or what is inside his chest.  I did read on his twitter that he is, apparently, working out every morning at 6am and that is during the basketball season so that should be a good sign in terms of "work ethic".

i think he will do whatever it takes to see the field. I could see him playing both sides of the ball for us...and special teams.

Ra'Shaad Samples is a Dallas Skyline receiver.  We offered him as a freshman.  He likes Michael Smith, said he's like family to him.  He's on the first rivals 250 list and 4 star.

Wade is inside LB, Kennendale, TX.  He's also rivals 250 and 4 star.  I thought this was interesting from an update TCU's site did with him...

"A&M and Kansas State stuck out early, but A&M has dropped a little with the coaching change and Kansas State is still right there near the top like they have from the beginning," Wade said. "Kansas State was the first offer. Other than that, I'm liking OU and OSU. We'll just have to see.

noticed that Clemson has offered Wade fairly recent.  hmmmm?

OU has offered Samples now as well...and committed a NCAA violation.

I would probably play for a program that is willing to make recruiting violations for my talents.  That is if helicopters are out of the question, of course.
