I can't imagine you see too many players recommit after decommitting.

It sucks, I was looking forward to seeing him play for the cats.  I do now have to wonder what other pieces of the class are about to fall away
Yeah, I assume he'll be committing somewhere else soon. What a waste of time that commitment ceremony was.

Good for him though. Notre Dame is one of those schools that is pretty bigtime and honestly I don't mind losing recruits to them if he wants to go there. That's what we are now. We don't lose recruits to like Oklahoma State guys, we lose them to Notre Dame. It's fine.

Still kinda hurts, SD. But before everyone worries about me, if we get Randle I'll be ok.

virgin dylan edwards vs chad john randle

edwards
- 3 stars but acts like he's 5 stars
- father played at ksu but thinks he's better than us or some crap
- active on social media, makes posts like "here's my top 10 schools" when it's obviously between 2
- cannot put his height on dating profile
- name is dylan

randle
- 4 star, top 200 player
- father played at ku, but still very interested to play at the rival elite school of the state
- doesn't give a crap about any kind of media, does his own thing, all business
- can put 6'0" on dating profile
- name is john, doesn't get more lunch pail, "one day at a time" than that

Called it early. He sucks

Sucks that the staff even tells these guys not to commit unless they are 100% in and this crap still happens.  Makes you wonder what is going on when guys like Manning almost commit and then go elsewhere.  Then you have a guy like Dylan pick us over OU on local television with a proud alumn of a father who has a memorable reaction to his son’s commitment.  36 days later he de-commits.

Did an event happen for Dylan to go quiet and for Manning to dramatically change in such a short time?  Weird stuff.

I’m sure Leon supports his son, but I’m sure he feels a little bit embarrassed.  It wasn’t like this happened 6 months after he committed.  rough ridin' 36 days.  Lol.

My goodness this couldn't be more spot-on.

Sad, Edwards was a perfect fit here. I admire his confidence in himself. He's going to be surrounded by other 4-star RBs and have to really compete for playing time. We basically would have handed him the keys here. It's a little frustrating you can go from 100% Cat to decommitting in a month.

It is fun to get excited about recruits.  That being said if you feel sick about this just look back at Kstate or any other college team at some of their best historical recruits and you will see that many saw saw limited playing time in their career or didn’t see the field at all.  A lot of it is wasted talent from bad coaching or systems that don’t fit the player.  Because of this I try not to get too worked up.

The #StayHome campaign was fun, but losing a borderline 4 star player that was almost sure to be a distraction isn't worth freaking out over.   Especially since the other commits seem unfazed.

Hopefully the coaches lose his number and move on.  Joe Jackson could be a stud and there's plenty of good running backs that will want to play with Avery under CK.  If it's Randle, everyone will be happy Dylan left.

Everybody kept saying that Dylan was acting like every other big recruit, but that's not true.  The reality is that he's just a shithead that craves drama.  I don't remember many of those guys panning out in Manhattan.

Yeah, ever since the nebraska stuff, it seemed like this wasn’t going to happen.  Super talented kid that may be a great college player, but RB is about the easiest position on the field to find a “good” player.  I think Dylan could’ve been elite (deuce’s level), but the replacement probably will end up being fine enough.

If it’s Randle (or someone on Randle’s level) then great.

So long as we can keep Avery, that’s the only piece of this class that I think is irreplaceable.

NIL, NIL, NIL

You sure? I keep seeing this on twitter but nothing at all to substantiate it. Is claiming NIL just going to be a standard go to for fans of a school who lose a recruiting battle?

I hung out with a guy a few weeks ago that is high up in a high level athletic department. He said it’s all NIL. Like that’s all it is now. You’d like to think coaching staffs or success on the field or facilities matter. They apparently do not.
