Look I’m happy about landing a decent recruit in our hobby sport. College football is just dumb now though.

Like it or not, but the fact that we're celebrating an in-state recruitment win against Iowa rough ridin' State, like we beat LSU, is a statement of where the program was/is, and it isn't great. Hopefully we can get to the point where we expect to beat Iowa State for at least in-state kids, but we clearly aren't there now. No need to lash out at stunted. Iowa and Iowa State aren't losing in state targets to K-State, they lose them to Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Yea they have beat us head to head for quality recruits 3 years running now.   Jaylin Noel would likely be our #1 WR this year.

Supposedly, he visited ISU four times.  If they really put the full court press on like that and we still got the commitment, that's pretty impressive.

Recruiting Kansas is a waste of time anyway, we want players from the south

I, for one, am glad the cats managed to land a kid that multiple P5 schools were interested in.

If this is the start of the new recruiting staff/philosophy, then that's a great sign. Feels like Klieman figured out he needs to designate legitimate resources into recruiting to be successful. Or, maybe they just got lucky this time around.

This type of recruiting worked great for the '11/'12 teams; it's just too bad they didn't continue their effort.

That’s three exciting in-state prospects and they’re only #5,9, & 10 on 247. If we can pull Johnson & Edwards plus a few high upside TX/FL/GA kids the staff can fill out the class with as many 2*, 5 heart, DITR as they want and I’ll be happy with this class.
