Saw this guy play last week, and we could possibly get him interested in KSU if we offer his friend who is a stud at Nose Tackle be he is only a Junior this year but not many offers because he is under 6' tall.

Do not want. Offer list is crap.
LOL Right,

Oklahoma, Alabama, Oregon, Michigan, USC, TCU  <---- Crap

Spencer Misko committed. He was originally committed to OSU then they pulled their offer.

3* from Texas. Offer list doesn't inspire much, other than OSU & KSU. Texas had interest, but no offer was given.

Not sure if he's committing as a DE or a TE, but my guess is DE if Seiler was involved.

Big frame.  6'5" 235 kid.  Lanky with a long frame.  He can probably get to 255 or 260 after two solid years in S&C.

We should really only be recruiting 5 star guys, with a few 4 star fellas sprinkled in there for depth.

I'm really surprised we're not.

Decent on both lines.  The DE's and DL's look really good.  The Rivas kid from Hutch looks real good.  Goodwater's hudl video looks really good.  I like the safeties, and the one from JUCO hits really hard.

The QB's are the ones that make you shake your head.  All of the others are pretty comparable to what we've been pulling in.  Goodwater looks like he could be a steal, though.

A prospect on the radar for well over a year, this Butler County defensive back has hit the mute button.

There’s been widespread rumors that Morgan is all but a done deal to K-State, but he nor sources at either Butler or K-State have confirmed such remarks. Without anyone willing to discuss the latest developments, we’re merely left guessing what could happen. Our gut, like always, has been to give the benefit of the doubt to Morgan picking K-State but it's hard to put an abundance of confidence in that given how quiet things have been.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR BETTS?

For much of the fall, we've been alluding to the growing probability that quarterback Dewayne Betts will not be a part of the K-State signing class come February.

As was stated on Wabash Station, the change of heart began during a rough summer camp showing in Manhattan by the KIPP signal caller. Other factors may also be in play.

When reached for word on the situation last week, Betts responded in cryptic tone.

"As long as they are committed to me, then I am committed to them," the senior said in a message.

Asked if he thought his scholarship remained safe, Betts responded, "I really don't know. They haven't been communicating with me as much lately but as far as I know the scholarship still stands."

As coaches hit the road over the next several days for in-home visits, not to mention the many commits coming to Manhattan too, keep an eye on what does or doesn't happen in Memphis.

*UPDATE* -- Dewayne Betts is no longer committed to Kansas State. This according to his mother via a social media post on Monday. (Below)

Let me put it this way: Sometimes, you don't have to pull the offer for the offer to be pulled.

To explain in a somewhat similar scenario, I recall when heavily recruited junior college defensive tackle Marquel Combs was on his official visit at K-State back in 2012. He obviously had a ton of talent but coaches were eager to see what he was like in person; athletics aside. Well, from what I was told back then, it became immediately clear he was not the type of player/person LHC Bill Snyder wanted around his program and by the time he had his one-on-one meeting with Snyder, the conversation was made so uncomfortable (largely due to silence from what I remember being told) that Combs, I guess you could say, caught the drift that he wasn't going to be welcome there.

So take that as an example. Combs scholarship wasn't physically pulled... but it was. If that makes sense.

That  leaves us with a very mediocre QB commit in Wheeler. Wheeler will likely be another Hubes QB here. Expect whichever staff is present to go after a JC QB during Wheeler's prime time for taking over the reins (if he stays). Jfc OBs and his staff.

I am guessing Betts is locker room cancer and/or just a shitty fit for this program.
Back for more bad takes.

I'm pretty sure Betts was recruited as an athlete all along. Ertz has two more years, Thompson will have two years right after him, and then we can "panic".  We have plenty of time to bring in another HS prospect.

Soo.. would he have been the equivalent Sams/Banks/Delton dedicated running qb.

If OBs and company want a dedicated pro-style QB - look no further than in Colorado. rough ridin' Judd Erickson is still without an offer and he is a stud mcnasty stud. #1 in several passing categories for Colorado HSFB (better than Michigan's current QB commit. Hard to not look good when you play for Valor). Judd had a pud oline to work with, too. The fact that he doesn't have offers is ... scary though. Might already be sghetti brained.

It makes sense. Hell, he couldn't even cut it in KU and transferred out there.

I'm going to guess that we're not going to sign a qb in this class that has another FBS offer, unless they care more about coming to K-State than they do playing quarterback.

I've gone over to GPC on-and-off this fall.  To give Wallace credit, he's been saying to expect this for awhile.
