apparently it isn't too early for Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. pretty f'ing ridiculous that he hasn't heard from ksu. not because he's grown up a ksu fan, but because the kid is apparently talented and Keith Burns (our DB's coach) was the Tulsa head coach and is supposed to have connections in that town.

Maybe Snyder added Burns to the growing list of coaches that aren't allowed to do anything

Gates today basically said that Carradine was an impossibility. He's got an OSU offer and he's from Ohio. That on top of tons of non-WRSOAT's recruiting makes our only chance him not being a qualifier except to a KS school if that's an actual thing that can happen as rumored.

Non-qualifying is a very true possibilty. (Maybe not for Carradine but for KS juco players in general.) Our regents schools all have 2+2 agreements with the state jucos allowing any grad to transfer all hours, whereas other states may or may not transfer certain hours.

Carradine will be a 5 star. I think Carradine and I will speak. I hav a good friend who is on the athletic trainers or whatever and he's close to the football team. So ill look to squeeze some info outta him. Or is it even worth a try?

The dudes announcing the Butler/C-Ville game said Carradine would move from #2 to #1 in the juco rankings after that game. No idea if that's actually true or not.

One nice thing is that Butler doesn't let their players particpate in the recruiting process much during the season. I think our staff shares the same philosophy but at least we won't lose much ground.

normally that would work against us but the fact that 80% of our assistants are non-working bros of Bill makes this a positive as you point out.

All you need to know about how we recruit is reading yet another story of a highly recruited prospect (by everybody else) who states that they "grew up a K-State fan" and then the story goes on to say something like, "But I haven't heard from K-State . . .".

In terms of Carridine . . . 42, your mission is to ensure that he has a 2.0 GPA . . . absolutely nothing better, a 2.0 GPA, with a couple of D's in core courses, but a 2.0 GPA and the right hours to graduate.

We are just rough ridin' embarrassing on the recruiting trail. Any D-Lineman that is alive when they step foot on campus would start every year they are here and we can't even get those.

the miss after miss in this thread is why this and any season with snyder as head doesn't matter and is relatively unexciting.
