I'm personally amazed that Manhatter can pull so much quality analysis from watching hilight footage of players. It speaks to how much more he "gets" sports and being an athlete than the rest of you puds. He's definitely earned the right to talk down to everyone who disagrees with him, because he told us he's almost always right on his projections.
Now all we have to do is sit back and watch Trey Dish"own" the hatter haters.
well fvck me for having a mind and deciding to withhold trashing a kid until I actually watch some film, process it, and make a decision on my own.
I could always be the cool crowd...it's a robotic, programmed response:
=IF(AND(AND(B1="Kansas State",OR(C1="Offered",C1="Committed")),OR(B2:B10,="",AND(B2:B10<>"",C2:C10="")),A1,"<3 stars"),"Terrible","Good")
Your formula doesnt work in excel.
Why do you need people to agree with you so badly that you get angry at everyone who doesnt agree with you?
I hope you are right, and he is a good player. But to others the observable evidence is pointing to our staff being concerned with missing on others. recruiting is a crapshoot and players don't pan out. But generally speaking, higher rankings mean better players and results. It's just weird that you get so mad at people disagreeing with your prognostications, which are based on your pseudo expertise. We dont all need to agree with you, Lighten up man.
Live and let live, i say.
Of course the formula doesn't work in excel.
It would be tolerable if somebody made a judgment based on something other than a programmed response. Plenty on here completely bash a commit if he isn't a certain ranking or offered by other schools. It's comical. Hell yes I take those folks to task. It's tiresome and old. And it doesn't require any thought to do so.
And why are they bashing? I suppose they don't understand it's difficult to recruit to K-State so you do have to FIND players. They might not always be a prospect everyone wants but if that were the case programs like Boise State would never win games or send kids to the NFL. They do and we do. Obviously not at the level of an Alabama but at least we're competing.
Why bash a kid if you known nothing about the kid. In this case they are bashing a kid that not only they know nothing about but MANY of the schools they wished had interest in him know nothing about.
I don't mind if someone disagrees with me. That doesn't bother me a bit. What I do mind is when there is nothing but this default merit backing their argument. Oh, so nobody else offered him...hmmm, that is why you bash the kid. I get it. You're incapable of forming a judgment based on your own acumen.
As for the other prospects. Everybody knew about them beforehand. Some of them were known of several years ago. It isn't rocket science. These programs have several hundred kids they are communicating with and gathering information on for the 2017 class....hundreds, if not thousands, more than that in the 2016 class. I don't know the answer for why KSU offered him this late. It may or may not have something to do with who they think they can get. I think the likeliest scenario is that we were aware of Dishon but he developed a LOT in the past year and a half to the point where they felt comfortable with pulling the trigger. He is one they would have worked to get a preferred walk-on. It became evident he had other opportunities to schools like NWMS and Pitt State...and some are saying Baylor was talking an offer.
