So, UCLA desperately wants a QB not named Aaron Sharp but might give him an offer if he begs them?

 :whistle1:

Could this all be part of another HCBS scheme? Follow me here. Aaron, we will stop recruiting QB's if you commit. Another QB pops up that staff likes but dam, we made a promise to AS. Aaron tells lead recruiter that he would like to take other visits.  HCBS being up to speed on all things that affects the program, knows that UCLA & UW goth have higher rated QB's on their boards that are likely to commit to them. Sure Aaron take the visits but if you do that, we have to consider our options and may have to give your scholly to someone else.  Hey new guy we like, we can now offer you a scholarship but don't tell anyone for a couple of weeks or you can't have it.  Hey coach, UCLA & UW are not my cup of tea, can I still have a scholly? Sure Aaron, we still have an open scholly and we love you.  Hey coach, I just heard there is another QB signing and tomorrow is signing day. What the eff?  Sorry Aaron, you went on visits and broke our deal. Sorry, we still love you.

Except Wally is a huge dumbass who has no idea whatsoever what is going on with KSU recruiting in any sport.

Wally? Did I miss something? I've never heard HCBS referred to as Wally. Old Balls, Old man, white wizard, scheme Dr., but never Wally

Is this the dude wally is talking about for getting a scholly, as a QB ?
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/181366/zach-davidson

Sure is Luke.Gewinne

Do you even DITR, bro?!

Could be another CK  :excited:

The coaches really like him. Saw him up-close and in person at camp, and he will remind you of CK with his running ability. I do wonder about his passing skills, but he's a heck of an athlete and people in Harrisonville say he's a winner.

also, great article by Crabby here about weirdos on Twitter:

http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/10304532/football-recruiting-age-social-media

Thanks guys. Was interesting to dive into. So many folks are concerned about it - kids, coaches, NCAA officials, parents, school officials. Seems like the only ones that aren't worried about it, are the fans that tweet at these prospects.

And it's not just isolated to one or two schools. All schools do it.

this:

One recruit said a fan saw his post about going to eat ice cream and appeared minutes later at the same place, shook his hand and snapped a picture with him. "It creeped out my girlfriend," the recruit said.

is terrifying.

That's what he gets for tweeting about going to eat ice cream.

It is REALLY scary. I couldn't fit all of the stories into my piece, but there were plenty of others like that. Stories about fans showing up at social things these kids were at. Movies, ice cream, the pizza place after their team's game, the airport when they arrived on their visits, etc.

I think it's probably a larger culture/social issue, too. Should you be putting your whole life out there on social media for the world to see? I admit it, I get caught up in it, too. I was tweeting earlier this week about being stuck in O'Hare for 3 hours.

No problem. Sorry can't make it a regular deal but stretched really thin this time of year. Have three more stories to file for next week. But do think next weekend is big, big, big for the Wildcats.

hey crabby, any big commitments we should look out for in the next couple weeks or is the staff just on auto-pilot until signing day?

I would keep a close eye on Shaun Wilson (http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/163581/shaun-wilson). The four-star RB is slated to visit next weekend. Would expect there to be 10 or so visitors by the time the list is filled out. But Wilson would be a heck of steal to compliment Warmack. Wilson is more of a all-purpose type of back that can be used as a slot WR or even in return game.

Yes. This blog has a strict no-sock-policy.
