Spoiler alert:
snyder isn't a great recruiter and he's not ever going to change. as long as he's coach we're going to lose these guys.
It's why I'll never love him.
that's so stupid
Why? Because a great coach can't get out of his own way? For what? Loyalty? Attachment to some antiquated and pointless principles?
What could he have accomplished had he not been such a slave driver? Or if he allowed KSU and donors build the facilities we needed years ago? Or if he wasn't so loyal to mediocre people.
That's why I'll never love him. He is his own worst enemy.
You have got to be kidding me. Let me put it this way:
My mom is kind of a goofball. A lot of times, she won't understand some of the jokes my dad and I pull. She doesn't get most of our references, and when she tries to reference some form of pop culture, she screws it up, but
just barely. It's very cute, actually. For example, she'll say something like, "I was watching 'Everybody love Roy' last night..." and my dad and i will just look at eachother, and roll our eyes. You can set your watch to it.
But guess what. I love her to death. Know why? Because she's had a very profound impact on my life and she loves me and she's good at being my mom, despite her not always understanding my humor.
In a different, but similar way, I love Bill. At this point, him being a mediocre recruiter and having a mediocre recruiting staff and being nepotistic and stuff, to me at least, is kind of cute. He's probably the single most important figure for K-State in the last century and over 20 years after he first got hired, he's still
very good at what he does. I mean, Pan, we went to the Cotton Bowl last season. K-State, futility U, on national TV playing in one of the most high profile bowls in the country's (world's?) most famous stadium. LHC Bill Snyder, with all of his faults, accomplished that for you, me, and K-State.
I love him and any K-State fan who doesn't love him is wrong.
