That's definitely not accurate. Diener left while I was covering Kansas High School football and I did that 2010-12.

left where?  think we must be talking about different people or something.  marvin diener left salina central after the 2005 season, and has been head coach at G-E ever since (2006-present) as far as i know

I was conflating Diener leaving central for g-e with Randy Dreiling leaving hutch for aquinas. Sorry

Thank God. I think we all can sleep better now that we have all of this cleared up.

Greyshirt offer out to Brett Bell, cousin of Blake Bell, and teammate of Denzel Goolsby

One out to Tyler Burns, too. I would be very surprised if both Bell and Burns aren't at K-State. Bell wants to see if other offers develop, but all signs (wink, wink) point toward Burns wearing purple.

thanks crabby

So we cannot get JuCo players now?

Twitter is ablaze with JuCO committments, but crickets from KSU. :(

We have one JUCO commitment as of right now.  Current commits plus grayshirts put us at 17 commitments.  I'd also assume that Reed Bergstrom and Kody Cook will get scholarships since next year will be their last year, and they're in the two deep.

By my count, we have 18 seniors in this class.  Factor in a little attrition, we may only have 3-5 slots that we're actively looking to fill, and it's quite possible that we feel comfortable with the prep targets that we're after or some JUCO options that are still making visits up until Signing Day.

All of his male cousins have gone to OU. Have they (OU) been in touch with/ looking at him?

Robinson 'blown away' by ISU facilities

Iowa State's football facilities - especially the Cyclone weight room - made a strong impression on Lilburn (Ga.) defensive tackle G.G. Robinson on his official visit to Ames this past weekend.

Nevertheless, after ending his final campaign in a Jaguars jersey to the tune of a 1-9 record, Curl's collegiate anxiety was beginning to build. BYU and Fresno State were in heavy pursuit as December opened, as was the state's traditional power, the Texas Longhorns, who were pushing for the local product to walk-on for Charlie Strong.

Which brings us to Tuesday and a surprising message from Snyder.

"(Sean) Snyder messaged me on Twitter earlier in the day telling me to to call him later," began the 285-pound senior. "I couldn't think straight in class because I kept thinking 'Is this good or bad' and whether I was getting cut or not."

"So I finally got a chance to call him and he made a joke at first trying to be all nonchalant, asking me how my day was going," continued Curl with a snicker. "Then he said, 'Do you want the good news or the bad news first?' and I kind of got nervous. I told him to give me the bad news and that's when he goes, 'The bad news is that I don't have any bad news. You got the offer!' and I just went into shock."

I like how when we know a guy really wants to commit to us and is super worried we like to big time him and mess with his head a little bit. Probably really helps our confidence.

it's like when you get invited to a high class masked orgy in a mansion. You're super nervous and surprised it all happened, but you know you're going.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

"I'm so, so sorry buddy. I know that you really wanted an offer and you thought it was going to happen and you already started looking at apartments and made friends in the area and now you're going to have to undo all of that and re-open your recruiting except that actually you're not because I was just joking and YOU'RE TOTALLY GETTING AN OFFER FROM US!"
