Did the G-E coaching change take place before his senior year or after?

IIRC, Diener came to G-E before he was a Soph.

i'm not really up on bubba starling's details, but i'd imagine diener was already there.  think 2005 was his last year at salina central iirc

first i saw was it's a grayshirt offer but now i'm seeing walk on. who knows. i'd be very surprised to see anyone turn down a scholarship at any big 12 school to walk on at another big 12 school.

That's definitely not accurate. Diener left while I was covering Kansas High School football and I did that 2010-12.

left where?  think we must be talking about different people or something.  marvin diener left salina central after the 2005 season, and has been head coach at G-E ever since (2006-present) as far as i know

Keep in mind, it's not really a two-way street. Not defending Nebraska, but don't forget they can't tell their side of the story to the media since not allowed to talk about recruiting in public. Most coaches I talk with believe Dillman isn't going to be a Division I player. Heck, he played JV football this season and had injuries. There's two sides to this story that we don't get through Twitter.
