Dear John Currie,

For the last five years
Your hoops program has been run by a thug
But on Tuesday, he ditched you
So now it's time to hire Doug

He's a recognizable face
He'll be a real hit with the fans
Best of all, the athletes he recruits
Don't leave their wire receipts in trash cans

Doug is a winner
Something you've never been
Because you swim in snake oil
And tweet about equestrian

I've got plenty more rhymes
And lots of money to donate
But if you hire Tad or some other guy
I'll spend it on a Fire John Currie Billboard

Best of luck with the hire!

Tad commented on JC being a strong AD.  Is it common for coaches to have opinions on other school's AD's?

UPDATE: Kellis Robinett of KansasCity.com wrote Thursday that several of the names being tossed around for the Kansas State job can likely be dismissed.

The coaches Robinett listed, for various reasons, include Colorado's Tad Boyle, Oklahoma's Lon Kruger, Georgia's Mark Fox, Southern Miss' Larry Eustachy, ex-Oklahoma coach Kelvin Sampson and ex-Tennessee coach oscar Pearl.

Two new names emerged as possible candidates on Thursday, however, in former Duquesne coach Ron Everhart and ESPN's Doug Gottlieb. Those could be two names to watch out for in the coming days.

DAL8967   MD88   Alexandria Intl (KAEX)   08:14a CDT   09:31a CDT

hmmm... a Delta regional jet headed for Louisiana. :insertsherlockholmesemo:

Originated in GA this morning, flew into LA then MHK and back..

No need to plane track this weekend bros everyone is in NOLA.  Also, Alexandria is no where close to New Orleans.  There would be no reason for anyone of importance in the college basketball world to be in Alexandria, LA.

We should all be kissing Kellis' ass for not being dismissive of the possibility.  He's doing good work here by not ignoring Doug.

gottlieb on SC right now. was hoping he would have a purple tie on. it's pink...
I may be reading into this too much, but I would say the deal is almost hashed out.  Pink is close to purple.  Once the deal is done, he'll be sporting a purple tie with an elite Armani suit.  Lol at Frank's Men's Warehouse slop jobs.
