You don't Fracking hire mid major flunkie or any other average coach when Doug FRACKING Gottlieb and oscar Pearl want to be your coach. FING CURRIE.

would rather keep undy than have jank or sutton.

As much as I hate Currie right now, I'm sure he knows that Brad Underwood is a better option than Jank, Sutton, et al. If he doesn't, then I feel so sorry for all of us and what we are about to endure, and I fear for John's life.

Huggs.

Frank.

Doug.

The progression makes sense. Hiring coaches that excite a fan base. National names.

This is K-State Basketball.

At least it should be.

Doug has 61k followers on Twitter.

Think about that.

I have an email written out.  Just need to do a find/replace Pearl/Gottlieb and we should be good.  You would have to be pretty stupid to not hire Gottlieb.  Honestly.  Keep Unds on staff (if Doug wants him).  Win-win.

A friend of mine was at the DC Alumnir event tonight.

Evidently Schulz said a number of ‘impressive’ candidates have contacted the school about the opening. He said that they would not rush it but wanted to find someone with the right values, skills, alumni support, etc that would fit in the K-State way of things and to give them a couple of weeks. Sure hope it doesn’t take that long.

Guy on our site.  God, I hope that's right.  It would dispel the, "Hire a mid-major loser by Tuesday" rumor.

Undy/ Doug or Doug/ Undy would both be great imo.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

This is what K-State Basketball should be about.  Unfortunately this is not what this coaching search is about, which is not what is best for K-State Basketball, but what is best for John Currie's resume.

Mrs. Hamburglar barely follows KSU basketball and we live in the burbs of Tulsa.  I get home today and the first thing she says to me is "I just read some article online about the opening and it said the front runners where some guy with a huge mouth from some WSU type school and some other guy named Tad.  At the bottom it mentioned Doug Gottlieb was lobbying for the job.  Why the hell wouldn't you guys hire Doug?   How stupid are these people?"

^spot on, the Frank debacle leaked early and there's no reason if we were going to hold a presser and name a coach it wouldn't have leaked. At least I don't have to plan on :goodbyecruelworld: Tuesday

I would like all the townie media clowns trying to act all smart and rational about this to line up so I can punch you in the nuts.

Cassidy? Nut punch
Kitchen? Double nut punch
J Brady? Nut Punch
Tyler Dreiling (does he count?) Nut punch
Levi? Nut Punch

I'm sure there are others that can be punched in the nuts later.

Tyler Dreiling is a rough ridin' wannabe athlete self-proclaimed "expert". I went to high school with the guy, he's a total eff. take anything the guy says with a grain of salt- the guy only got to where he is because of his family's connections through GTM.

Pros .733 Winning Pct at NM and .653 career, BCS experience, multiple MWC Conference titles and NCAA appearances
Cons Dubious recruiting, 1 NCAA sweet 16 birth, meh factor.

Would take underwood instead probably

Over Olive Garden Breadsticks
JC: I have Tad Boyle lined up to be our coach, all we need to do is hammer out a contract
Animal (calmy swallows a bite): I think we need to think about this a bit.
JC: Well what about Sean Sutton, I already already let a leak get out that we could have him announced on Tuesday
Animal: No John, no.
JC: Kirk, these are great hires, what more do you want?
Animal (sets down his breadstick, leans forward and interlocks his hands): I think it's time we talked to Doug.

End scene

Mr. Currie,

I find it unlikely that you will ever read this message, but in the case that you do, let me make this brief.

Doug Gottlieb.  Head coach; asst. coach; director of basketball operations; towel boy... I don't care which position.  Pay the man and put him in purple.

I'm not going to insult you by explaining why Gottlieb would be a great addition, because I know you know the importance of brand recognition and a national image.

Doug Gottlieb.  I'll donate $500 to get him here and I'm as broke as Jamar Samuels.

That is all.

Mr. You Choose
