i want pearl hard. but it's not a legit option at the present.

yeah boyle won 4 games in his first year at northern colorado with what i imagine was a very shitty team. three years later, they won 25 games. the next year, he put a clown suit on frank martin three times. the next year, he won a conference tournament and beat a 6 seed.

we are k-state. we could do worse.

So you're basing this on him beating KSU three times last year with someone elses high level talent?  He also went 3-6 on the road this year and finished in 6th place in possibly the worst season a power conference has ever had.

Stop thinking he would be better than Jank, or course he is, Jank isn't a possibility.  Travis Ford would be better than Craig Robinson, do we want him too?  I would legitimately take Undy before Boyle.  FOR THE KSTATE JOB ONLY.

I would think Pearl could recruit just by posting pictures of himself somewhere with hot babes.

It's not solid because he didn't do it with his recruits. I don't give a eff what you can do with Alec Burks. Solid is what you do with your own players. What Frank did this year was solid. What Boyel has done is meh at best.

So an AD who straightens his coach's ties and suspends players for accepting $200 wire transfers from family friends is going to hire a coach that can't recruit off-campus until 2014?  And Kelvin Sampson was at Indiana, a top 10 basketball program all-time.  Slight difference there.

His best season as a college basketball coach was with two NBAers who were recruited by the previous staff.

Yes, it's the perfect situation for bringing in Pearl. The NCAA will love the pairing. AND CURRIE'S ALREADY HIRED HIM ONCE. So Indiana will got top 10 recruits w/o a head coach leaving campus, let's just say KSU will get top 50 recruits. sounds reasonable to me.

speak for yourself.  i like boyle, i'd take him in a heartbeat.  i mean, obviously i'd take martin over him in a much more rapid heartbeat, but boyle is about 10 times better than anyone i thought currie might be able to pull.

i think he doesn't have enough of a track record recruiting high major players to be very confident in him, but that he has a good chance to be better than all of them.
