Coming back to MHK this weekend. Since The Patio's out, what new/new-ish place should I try?

I prefer the desserts at KJ's.

Can confirm. It's been brewing for a few months.

To my knowledge, it's still up and running, but definitely not for long. The owner isn't happy here

Fuckin' A I miss that place. And Taco Hut. Both were probably crap, but I was in middle school so they tasted incredible.

the best/worst part about burrito king was the ten year old that was always working regardless of what time of day you went in there.

Kid had a strong work ethic. You just don't see that these days with this new generation.

Tell me about it.  You ready for something you won't believe??

I'm working with a kid who is finishing his freshman year at a Kansas college (not KSU) and is looking for his first job for crying out loud.

His so called intelligent mother insisted that he not have a job thru high school so he could "have fun in his youth". He wanted a job but was not allowed to do so. Great help Mom was.

She is now divorced (go figure) and can't afford to have the three kids NOT have jobs as the last one graduates from high school and two are in college.

He asked me if I would be a reference for him on job applications and commented in the text..."not having any work experience sure makes finding a summer job tough". No sXXX.

My advice is to kids or anyone for that matter is "get off your dead axx and go to work".

Yeah, you may not be able to pay for everything in 4 years but who said you had to?

My daughter on the other hand worked as a dance instructor and life guard all through high school. She has more money in the bank as a college sophomore than anyone she knows and the account continues to grow on fairly low per hour wage of $7 to $8/hour.

She'll get out of college as a teacher and because of her education major be able to have her student loans paid off because she'll teach in qualified school districts in Kansas. (Newton is one of those districts surprisingly.)

Working as a youth is good and paying for our own education can be done.

Go Cats!!
