What outstanding recruiters. Able to keep the kids lured to them even when they change schools. Our guys, didn't get anybody to switch as I recall.
Lafonte Thourogood (committed 1/28/2010) had more BCS offers than the last 5 or 6 Snyder QB recruits combined.
After having a chance to go through Vandy's commit list, I am starting to lend more credence to "star inflation" for K-State. Take Thourogood for example, he had 10 BCS offers, and yet rivals only rates him a 3 star. We have guys showing no BCS offers being rated 3 star.
Look at some of their 2 star rated recruits, take Jimmy Stewart for example. If you toss out Maryland and Vandy, he still shows 3 D1 offers and 1 other BCS school offer . . . if he were a K-State recruit he'd be a 3 star for sure with that many D1 offers. Let's look at Andrew Williamson . . . 5 other D1 offers, 2 other BCS offers, Rivals has him at a 2 star. Mitchell Hester . . . toss out the Maryland and Vandy offers, he still shows 9 D1 offers and 4 BCS offers . . . 2 stars. No doubt in my mind if those kids sign with K-State Rivals gives them another star easily. Looks to me like Rivals was trying to keep Vandy down, probably didn't want to get deluged by a bunch of psycho Auburn/Bama/Tenn/Florida/LSU fans poisoning the trees and setting trash cans on fire, or trying to kill rivals employees.
