Single fax machine stuck inside a closet being fed recycled pages from OBs email print jobs.  Sometimes the intern forgets which side to face the printed pages.  :dubious:

Yet in a few weeks they solidified a class that was better than what WRSOAT had an entire year to work on.

LaFonte Thourogood . . . had 9 other BCS school offers.

Jake Bernstein . . . had 5 other BCS school offers.

Darien Bryant . . . had 11 other BCS school offers.

Barron Dixon . . . had 7 other BCS school offers.

Larry Franklin . . . had 5 other BCS school offers

Joshua Grady . . . had 12 other BCS school offers

Conor Hart . . . had 9 High Mid Major Offers and 2 BCS Offers

Mitchell Hester . . . had 5 other BCS school offers

Derek King  . . . had 6 other BCS school offers

Jacquese Kirk . . . had 4 BCS offers

James Lewis . . . had 3 BCS offers

JahMel McIntosh . . . had 6  D1 School Offers.

Spencer Pulley . . . Had offers from Miss St. and Southern Miss.

Dillon Van Der Wal . . . Had 6 other BCS school offers.

and on and on and on . . .

In other words, a recruiting class that K-State fans would all still have boners over, most of which didn't commit until after Franklin and staff had been hired.

don't discount that Vandy is a very exclusive and expensive institution.   I'd imagine admissions standards are pretty tough.

Yes, it really is the point.

I suspect that most of those kids will qualify, because while Vandy has slightly higher admission standards for athletes, that's only slightly higher than the NCAA minimums, not the requirements for regular students at Vandy.

Dax's numbers aren't accurate.  I counted them up (using other sources than simply Rivals) and our BCS offer count was more like 30.  Also, there are several kids that had offers from very high quality mid majors like Boise St, Utah, and BYU.  I would say that Dillon Wilson having an offer from Boise would be a better sign than is he had an offer from one of like 2/3 of the BCS schools.

Another thing I noticed-  The vast majority of the Vandy signees show offers from Maryland or another BCS school where a Vandy assistant coached last season.  In one case, every BCS a kid has is from Vandy, Maryland, and Miami.    And I'm curious about how well we notify Rivals, etc about kids' other offers.  Vandy has 3* kids with like 10 BCS offers and a 2* kid with 5.  Just seems odd that there is such a difference between the 2 schools.  We avg 2.68 stars per player, Vandy 2.71.  Neither school signed a 4 or 5* player, yet the have many more offers listed.

Oh okay jt, so our class had ABOUT 30 BCS offers and the Vandy class had ABOUT 80 BCS offers.

Realizing there's a lot of factors in play, but who would you take in the straight out sales process of recruiting, our staff or the Vandy staff?   I bet 2/3's of the Vandy Staff could sell sand to the Saudi Government.

Sure, their staff are likely better recruiters than ours.  Still, the also finished last in their conference, had no 4 or 5* commits, and only beat us by an avg of 0.03 stars.  Of any recruiting staff on a BCS team, Vandy would be one of the last I would choose in an attempt to make our staff look bad.  Once again, your blind hatred for KSU has skewed your vision and ability to reason.
