Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Was there a separate app thread?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.svtechpartners.wifihotspotdemo#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLnN2dGVjaHBhcnRuZXJzLndpZmlob3RzcG90ZGVtbyJd

Came across this when I saw my bro Hosie tweeting about how he'd get an iphone but for having foxfi on a droid.  Looked like foxfi wasn't working well with ICS, but led me to the above thing.  Makes my phone be a hotspot w/4g w/o paying verizon however much a month.  Above is free so you can see for a couple days if it'll work and then buy it for $15.  So far, works amazingly.  Will buy.

i guess i just don't get it.  i mean, the charging pad is going to be in the same place as your cord would/could be. the difference between setting something on a designated charging pad, versus just plugging in the connector seems minimal, at best.

and you're right, places like starbucks are already going down this path, and we all know how i feel about hanging out at coffee shops.

I think a stationary pad is less cluttery in addition to being quicker and less likely to damage your phone. But like I said, nothing any phone manufacturer adds is going to change your life.

Can affirm, its not a huge deal, but its cool to be to just set the phone on the charger and call it good.

poor battery choice

I went ahead and got it, but waited a week to see how it was knowing that I could return it under Verizon's 14 day policy. The biggest critiques in reviews were battery and no expandable memory, but neither have been issues for me. Battery life is slightly better than what I got with my iPhone 4s, and 16G of storage (12G really) is plenty for me.

On the positive side the screen and speed/smoothness of the phone is really good. I'm glad I didn't wait for iPhone 5, and I don't really miss iOS at all. Android and iOS are both good systems, but I am enjoying some of the customization features in Android and the system is better than it was more than a year ago when I switched to iPhone. The 5" screen is big, but its not a negative for me. 1080p HD screen with 440 pixels per inch is really cool, but I will admit it is over the top ridiculous on a phone since your eye really can't recognize the difference.

Plus, I get 4G all over Manhattan and it is fast. It was nice to be at the game Saturday and have no problems checking stats, twitter etc. with the 4G signal and not depleting the battery trying to find 3G signal like my 4s did at games.

My wife and I got the Galaxy Note this weekend. I love it, my wife hates it. She wishes she had gotten the iPhone 5. The Note is too big for her.

Yes.

It's too big for her to carry around.

that's too bad, it's really not that big.  fits in my pocket (i'm an extremely well built man) with no problems.

I carry mine in my pocket as well. She's fickle and doesn't get as much enjoyment out of drawing dicks on photos as I do.

DNA isn't quite as big as the Note 2, but I have no problems with pockets either (also have the otterbox defender case).

otterbox takes things to a whole different level.  it's like carrying your phone in one of those metal suitcase things with a handcuff around your wrist.

It was 25% off on Verizon's website for me so I went ahead and got it. So far I like it, except occasionally the screen protector that is built in feels weird. I still may remove it, I've never been much for screen protectors.
