ICS will come out at some point.  Any day now.  Maybe.

What you need to know is your phone has a 30 day return policy.

About to upgrade my TMobile phone.  Tried to persuade the company to change from TMobile, but no luck, so I am upgrading to a better phone.  Looking into the My Touch or the Galazy S II.

Thoughts?

Any better option coming out to wait for?

The HTC One S is better than both of those. And the GSIII is coming out within the month.

Going to get the GS3 this thurs.

Thanks

So you people who are buying phones need to get them from best buy.  First of all they give a $50 dollar gift card to best buy which you can spend on the phone or save it for something else.
They offered to replace my protection plan with Sprint.  This is significant because its the same price as the Sprint plan but with the Best Buy  plan there is no deductable  if damages occour.and they will give you a free battery if needed.  I also paid  $30 to guarantee that Best Buy will buy any cell.phone for a minimum of $140.

I doubt they cover as much Sprint does. I looked into this a couple years ago. Sprint will cover water damage, theft, and even now bricking your phone to a certain extent. Best Buy covered nothing. Let me know if that has changed. Also, good to know on the phone. I'll probably pick it up in a couple months.

how do you water damage a phone so badly that putting it in a container of rice doesn't solve the problem?  I dropped my EVO in a sink once and my daughter threw my old Pre in a glass of water and I was able to recover both.  I'm not the even slightest bit interested in doing anything that can brick the phone.  If you're a noob user like me the Best Buy warranty is fine.  My biggest concern is a bro chopping it out of my hand.

Water damage can do more than you think. My biggest concern would be getting behind the screen. Either way, since they cover lost phones, if I have any issue with them covering something, I just "lose" it.

So TMobile updated their pricing and are telling ppl that the advert'ed $199 was a down payment, not the cost of the phone.  Pfft.

Yes, it has been discussed, the question you should have is, "Should I buy the Galaxy Siii, or wait for the next iPhone?"

Then you would get a more reasonable debate.

Yeah. I would wait for the iPhone 5 to come out in October.

I will be eligible to upgrade my evo 4g in Sept. It's like, really stressful trying to decide between GSIII and iPhone 5, but at the same time, really exciting. Can't wait to hold both in my hand and decide!  :excited:

Everyone who is calling it the iPhone 5, shut up. It has two possible names. "iPhone 6", and the new "iPhone"

Code: [Select]
iPhone < iPhone 3g < iPhone 3gs < iPhone 4 < iPhone 4s
1st Gen   2nd Gen    3rd Gen      4th Gen    5th Gen

I have the GS3.  I like that I can play temple run without it skipping and freezing and stupid stuff.  I can also watch a video in the corner of the screen while I play.  I'm not sure why I would do that, but it's good knowing that I can.

A month in and loving the EVO LTE, its so fast and the display is very sharp.  Admittedly the battery life is crap but I have phone chargers where I sleep, where I work, and in my car so I'm not at all bothered.

I was originally planning to just get a new iPhone. But all the computery dudes in my office are Android devotees. They are really convincing (probably because they don't use terms like "computery").
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

JESUS, they still never fixed the battery life?

I got forced into a Droid Razr Maxx....the battery life is FANTASTIC.
