Discussing apple vs android is the modern version of discussing politics or religion and very rarely are snarky (or reasonable) comments going to change anyone's mind.

It is misleading to imply that there are now more platforms to support iOS because Apple sells the most phones, because their software platform is and always has been just a drop in the bucket compared to Android.

apple has a "move to iOS" app on Google play.  I will be doing it 4 times in the next day so I should have some protips soon.

The first thing is you have to dl a 2.2 gb firmware update while tethered to computer so do it someplace width a nice fat pipe.  Also, pick a short apple id and a easy password, apple makes you enter both a millon times when starting from square one like I am.

Bluetooth is available now so I think they would be fine without the jack

that's crazy, I could never use apple-supplied earbuds. They're soooo terrible. But I'm guessing there are a lot of people like you out there.
