Yes, Sprads could have done better, but I don't think his performance against ISU means he isn't athletic enough for Big 12 competition at all.
Have you ever seen Spradling turn the corner on a high ball screen and take it all the way to the rack? And not get swatted like a bitch? No. In fact, have you ever seen him take it all the way to the rack from anywhere on the floor and not get swatted like a bitch? No.
Have you ever seen him split a zone with dribble penetration? No.
Have you ever seen him do to another player what Christopherson did to him? No.
Have you ever seen him dribble 4 ft., pull the ball back and swing the ball around in the triple-threat position for 4 seconds until another player pops open for a pass? Yes. Seems like just about every possession of every conference game I've seen this year.
Like I said, he'd be great as a zone busting 3-pt specialist or as a reserve 2 guard. I'd like to see him play about 20 mpg and average about 7-8ppg.
