Anyone else play with the guy that drives to the basket, is clearly fouled, but uses the "offense calls fouls" rule to grab the loose ball, even though everyone else has stopped playing because of the obvious foul, and then score?  Of course, if he can't get the loose ball, he calls the foul.   :curse:

After he does that, I make sure to foul him hard enough that the play ends with the foul.  Of course, that pisses him off, too.

Almost as bad as the guy that thinks he's fouled but never calls it and then complains.

never assume a dead ball.
And don't assume I won't, and don't get upset if I do, foul the $hit out of you to make sure you can't get the loose ball next time.  The foul/no foul call should not be based solely on who gets the lose ball after the fact, imo.

I feel really really uncomfortable playing sports with complete strangers.  I never understood how dudes could hang out at softball fields and join up with whoever was short a guy.  Freaks me out.

It's how I imagine hitchhiking would feel like.

This.

I also hate it when my softball team has to pull a scrub in.  Though we had/have? one the elite teams at Mid America so, we don't really worry about that too much anymore.

In my first pick up game away from KSU, I threw an alley oop pass to a huge dude who two-hand dunked it.  I never did that at KSU.

No lights on any outdoor courts in Denver. But you can play tennis at any one of 72 locations until the crack of fuckin' dawn. Washington Park is probably the best place to find good players at an outdoor court. But the court itself hasn't been updated sine '82. Horrible condition.

What's worse, baseball pants or baseball pant styled shorts?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The shorts even have belt loops and pockets in the front like gym teacher shorts.  They're sweet.

Not in the elite leagues, dudes take that crap serious.

I played some good ball today, FWIW.  Lots of putbacks (AKA Junkyardmichigancat ball).

On my team, I had a 45 year old guy that shaves his chest (AKA "Stubbles").

Our team was just owning the court, but one game, he started yelling at other players about not playing defense.  We still won, but after the game, he just kept f*cking whining about how everyone (but him) was playing horrible D.  Well, the next game, he got a little tired, and NEVER got back on transition D.  Is there anything more annoying than someone that thinks they should coach noontime YMCA pickup games, and then loafs as often as possible?  (I have no problem w/ loafing at all, just when combo'ed w/ coaching).

Well, there actually is something more annoying than a loafing coach.  My team had a nice size advantage, so whenever the ball went into the paint, the other team was hacking a lot.  No big deal, right?  I mean, it's the f*cking YMCA, right?  Well, it is a big deal if you're Stubbles.  He got hacked, took the ball and threw a chest pass at the back of the head of the hacker.  It wasn't hard, and he didn't come after the kid, so I thought it might have been an accident and everyone kept playing.  We of course won (u digg), and while the hacker was sitting one out, someone apparently told him he thought Stubbles threw the ball on purpose, so after the next game, hacker was like, "Did you throw that ball at the back of my head?", and Stubbles said, "Yeah, you grabbed my forearm(!) and didn't even go for the ball."  Hacker was like, "Seriously, are you an adult?!?!?" and Stubbles was all, "yeah, that's why I go for the ball when I foul people", or something similarly Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Question:  Could Stubbles be more of a douchebag?  :dunno:
