Bell says he's down to 4: KSU, UConn, Auburn, and Oregon. As far as I know, each of those schools has offered except UConn. He's planning on signing during the early period.

They tweeted about 18 hours ago and said that all 4 of those teams have offered him.

I'm glad somebody has full twitter access during the daylight hours, thanks for the info.

Since Bell has recently referred to UConn as his "dream school" and Ollie is an LA dude, UConn probably has to be considered the favorite at this point. Still would be cool to bring Bell in for a visit and give it a shot.
And the fact he wants to be a lawyer and UCONN has a law school as well.

Amazing pre-law program at KSU, yours truly can attest to that.

Plus never underestimate the power of the KSU/LB Poly/Curtis Allen pipeline.

Damn, even goEMAW's recruiting analyst is a lawyer, go figure

As most folks have already figured out, it really looks like KSU is focused on landing a PF/C for the final scolly in this class, with our staff zeroing in on Atewe and Bell.

Jevon Thomas, a 6' ft PG originally from NYC but now attending a prep school in WI, was being mentioned in connection with KSU this past summer but that doesn't appear to be in the cards right now. Thomas visited Seton Hall for their MM and it looks like SH, Auburn, and OK St. are the 3 schools recruiting him the hardest.

I'm not sure how heavily KSU was ever recruiting 6'9" PF/C Schuyler Rimmer from Orlando, but after recently taking visits to USC and Stanford, it looks like he's down to a final 4 consisting of those 2 schools plus Virginia and Vandy.

Demetrius Henry is a 4* PF/C prospect(originally from Orlando but now attending school in Miami area) that KSU had offered and was recruiting throughout this past summer but in an update with the Clemson rivals site, he reports that he's currently hearing the most from Clemson, South Carolina, South Florida, Rutgers, Miami, and Illinois. Of that group, he likes Clemson, S. Carolina, S. Florida, and Miami.

Henry has maintained all along that he plans to sign in the spring, and I realy don't know if that has had any effect on KSU's recruitment of him, but right now KSU does not appear to be a major player in the picture for him.

From Bossi, Atewe visiting Auburn this weekend.

Previous reports had Atewe planning to visit Memphis this weekend but it sounds like he'll be doing the War Eagle thing instead. I really couldn't say if his visit to Memphis will be rescheduled or not.

Haven't seen any updates from Atewe after the Auburn visit. FWIW, 1 of Memphis' other top big man targets, Dwight Coleby, committed to Ole Miss last weekend.

There was an update from last week(before the reported Auburn visit) indicating that Nebraska was trying to get in the hunt for him. In that update, Atewe maintained that he will make his decision on Nov 28. He also stated that "KSU was probably his top choice"

Link is free.

From the twitter feed of Bell's AAU team, the Compton Magic, Weber is visiting Bell at his HS(LB Poly) today. Chet, Lowery, and now Weber have all been out there to visit Bell in the past month. Starting to sound like this kid is our top priority for the final spot in this class.

So much for that, Bell cuts it to 3 - UConn, Auburn, and Oregon.

Sounds like our staff is still actively recruiting Chris Griffin but no visit has been set up to KSU yet. He has added an offer from Mississippi St. to the list from the original quote below, other background info also can be found below.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Chris-Griffin-142602

cassidy

Quote
Wabash Valley CC forward Chris Griffin is setting up a visit to Kansas State. He will also visit Gonzaga. Brett should have something more on this later.

Griffin has offers from K-State, Gonzaga, UTEP, Auburn and others. I just need to update his profile.

Griffin is from Tallahassee, FL, was HS class of '10, signed w/Murray St., played there in 10-11, saw a little PT, but not much, as far as I can tell, sat out 11-12, now going to Wabash Valley JC(Chicago area), still considered class of '13, will have 2 years of eligibility remaining after this upcoming year at Wabash.

http://www.zagaholic.com/2012/08/recruit-profile-chris-griffin.html

Some stuff on Griffin(the younger)

@WillGunter247

Per AAU coach Kenny Gillion, Wabash CC wing Chris Griffin will visit Gonzaga Sept. 15. Kansas St., Auburn, UTEP have all offered.

Versatile player, can play the 2, 3 or 4. Better suited as a wing, nice midrange game, good defender.

But Fanning, he can play the 4, he's versatile!*

*Hopefully, only in spot duty for the KSU Cats(should he matriculate to KSU Cat land).
