Nate Hawkins committed to Nubb today, they also got a commit from a3* wing fom WI, Nick Fuller.  Hawkins and Fuller both visited nub at the same time this week. Akoy Agau was also visiting there at the same time, he didn't commit though.

Dude, without recruiting, there is no college basketball, on any competitive level at least.

That's really what it boils down to.

Quote
@jeffborzello: Sam Singer's final 11: Harvard, Stanford, California, Richmond, Davidson, Miami, K-State, NC State, Penn State, USC and Nebraska.

Big time fist pump moment.  :emawkid: :emawkid: :emawkid: :emawkid:

"Singer maintains that he has no leaders to this point. He is going to go through the process and really compare the schools in order to find the best fit. So what is he looking for in a program?

"It's high major ball with academics. That's where I'm looking. There are pros everywhere and great coaches on my list. If I can play after college I'll have had good teachers." He said. In a time where too many kids get caught up on school names rather than the best fit for them, it is refreshing to see the approach Singer is taking. There's no doubt he will be successful in college and has a bright future ahead of him."

Bossi reported that Singer visited Stanford and Cal this past weekend. To the best of my knowledge, neither of those schools have offered him yet.

Wabash Valley CC forward Chris Griffin is setting up a visit to Kansas State. He will also visit Gonzaga. Brett should have something more on this later.

Griffin has offers from K-State, Gonzaga, UTEP, Auburn and others. I just need to update his profile.

Also, you know, Family Guy jokes. So that's sweet.

Griffin is from Tallahassee, FL, was HS class of '10, signed w/Murray St., played there in 10-11, saw a little PT, but not much, as far as I can tell, sat out 11-12, now going to Wabash Valley JC(Chicago area), still considered class of '13, will have 2 years of eligibility remaining after this upcoming year at Wabash.

Some of may think Family Guy references but the 1st damn thing that pops in my head is slightly below average transfer from Washington St..

Not fair to the younger Griff but those memories just can't be erased.

slightly below average

:dubious:

It's all relative, 6.7 pts and 4 asts per game on an NIT team isn't awful by any stretch, I just like some more funk and/or scoring punch from the backcourt, that's all.

I never would have guessed those mid-majors produced such douchebags.

Some stuff on Griffin(the younger)

@WillGunter247

Per AAU coach Kenny Gillion, Wabash CC wing Chris Griffin will visit Gonzaga Sept. 15. Kansas St., Auburn, UTEP have all offered.

Versatile player, can play the 2, 3 or 4. Better suited as a wing, nice midrange game, good defender.

It's noted above that Kenny Gillion was Griffin's AAU coach back in his HS days and it's clear Gillion will play role in Griffin's present recruitment.

Gillion is the coach of the FLA based Team Breakdown. Breakdown has at least a couple other prospects that KSU is currently recruiting in 6'8" 4* PF Demetrius Henry('13) and 6'8" 4* PF Malik Price-Martin('14). KSU may also be recruiting 6'9" 3* PF-C Antravious Simmons but that's been pretty murky.

Getting in good with Gillion and setting up a pipeline with Team Breakdown, a program that annually produces high-level prospects, would be a very good thing.

In the report linked below from the Miami rivals site, Simmons says his top 3 is Miami, Alabama, and VCU. It doesn't really give his full list, so more murkiness as to whether or not KSU is recruiting him right now, but if we are, it doesn't sound like our recruitment of him has been real intense.
