A "true" PG doesn't appear to be a primary target for '13, there has been KSU interest mentioned with Jevon Thomas and Jalen James, but no reported offers yet. PG mania does appear to be taking hold in '14 though, 4 reported offers already, all on some fairly highly regarded prospects. Can't promise any success but efforts are being made.

PG mania in this class, known offers to:

Custer
Joseph
Nairn
L. Austin
(all at least Top 100 recruits)

Plus interest in William Jones and Johnnie Vassar.

Oh, oscar targeted and showed interest in plenty, but sadly he was all hat and no cattle when it came time to seal the deal.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

It's up to Brooks and Frazier to pick up the slack then, maybe Lowery has still got some juice.

Like the aggressive early offers on the high level kids, hopefully good relationships can be built.

Kinda obvious why the program stunk in the late 2000s but the last three class should of gave you hope for turning it around.  :dunno:

Vitto Brown has joined Ohio Basketball Club for the week but only played five minutes even though OBC was beat decidedly by the Dallas Mavericks. In his little time played Brown stood out as one of the better players around the cup when the ball goes in the air. He instantly gets low to make contact and clears out whoever is trying to get past him. It's too bad he didn't get more time as Bo Ryan was in attendance as were assistants from Nebraska, Minnesota, and Kansas State.

Lowery out doing work.

The Dallas "Mavericks" referred to above are actually the Dallas "Mustangs" who are also at the Super 64. Marcus Foster and Nathan Hawkins both play for the Mustangs. If you saw my post from earlier today linking the update from the Creighton site, Foster had 13 in that game.

Somebody on our staff was double dipping.

Pretty sure that was because they had Jerrence Howard, who Weber failed to recruit here.

You don't want Jerrance Howard or Dalonte Hill, you want the next Jerrence Howard and/or the next Dalonte hill.

when you have a team filled with the fruit of three successive top 15 classes that can't make the tournament, you don't want anyone on that staff.

Yep, landing him really would put us on track toward having a respectable class for '13.

We really need to be able to strike on these slightly under the radar players who sound like they may end up being very solid to damn good before it's all said and done like Foster.

C'mon AB3.

Hart continues to impress, this time from tourney in Atlantic City:

"Josh Hart, SG/SF, Team Takeover – Hart is getting more consistent shooting the ball from deep, and when he does that he is tough to handle. He was hitting shots with good consistency, and then as always rebounded from the wing spot and played good defense. While his Takeover squad looks tired from the long summer grind, Hart is playing well and is at the top of his game."

Bossi on Hawkins:

"Keep an eye out for Dallas Mustangs shooting guard Nathan Hawkins. The 6-foot-4 rising senior from Rowlett (Texas) High belongs in the top tier of jump shooters in his class. While he can certainly bomb away from deep, Hawkins also looks to have some game off the dribble and is adept at using floaters to score over bigger players. If they haven't already started tracking him, high majors will be sniffing around by summer's end."

No lies, lord knows we've got enough offers out there, most are mentioning us in a  positive manner, got some visits set up, well nab a few of them, trick is landing the ones that can really play, even if it's not obvious to thecasual observer.

Haven't seen many recent updates on Marquise Pryor, was mentioning KSU interest last spring, basically all the previous reports I'd read had him in the 6'6"-6'7" range, in the same undersized, blue collar 4 mode as Hassan Martin, I wouldn't say it's impossible that he's grown, his recruiting interest would probably really spike if that were the case:

"Marquise Pryor – 2013 – PF – Team Rose
6-9/220 – Chicago Orr – Chicago, IL
Delivered a solid and dominant performance on both ends as he attacked the glass and finished around the basket with consistency.  Continued to open some eyes with a solid effort on Wednesday night."

Speaking of Martin, that same link also has a positive report on his play in Vegas, blurb on K. Harris also pasted below:

"Fresh off a 21 point effort for New Heights, 2013 SF Hassan Martin indicated that Kansas State, Iowa State, Florida, Rhode Island, U-Mass, and St. Josephs are some of the schools in the mix right now."

"Kendal Harris – 2013 – PG – Urban DFW Elite
6-4/190 –Berkner H.S. – Dallas, TX
A tough physical guard with athleticism and explosion, Harris scored off the bounce, showed solid dribble penetration skills, finished in transition, and locked up on the defensive end in an impressive 18 point effort to help push Urban DFW Elite past the Florida Elite."

Couple new names, both running AAU with the D12 Warriors, 1st up Fallou Ndoye(6'11" 215 C) originally from Senegal, moved to Florida a couple years ago, now attends Faith Baptist School, same HS as Demetrius Henry:

"Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Nevada, USC, James Madison and Jacksonville have offered me," said Ndoye.

He's also receiving attention from a number of other colleges.

"Cincinnati, Kansas State, Southern Miss, Old Dominion, Marshall, Cal-Poly, VCU and Xavier are also showing interest in me," said Ndoye. (His AAU coach also mentioned that UCLA is showing interest in him.)
