Kansas State Football / Re: Favorite memory of this year

Unfollowing the majority of the news coverage from Manhattan on Twitter when you move out of state for a few years and realize how small-timey it all is.

So true.  Moved up to Detroit area in Michigan for two years and saw what college football really was.  I drank the Wolverine Kool-aid and now am a secret Michigan fan.  I've moved back to Kansas for a job and now see how small-timey KSU/Manhattan is and how small-timey the Big 12 is.  It's disheartening.

Once the spammers move in, it's all over.  This forum is about as dead as the Katz offense this year.

Check this HC for the Buffalo Bulls:

I don't know... that University produced the likes of Turner Gill.

Spot the holy crap

It's good to know other teams have trouble running the ball.

Here I was thinking that our defense wasn't that bad.  Then I realize that Texas is playing super conservative so they don't give any information to Oklahoma next week.  They're just running simple draws and screens.  That's it.

That thing where other teams' running backs stretch out for a couple extra yards after being tackled that our guys don't do... what's that called?

Both QBs looked better last year. If I was Skylar I would want to transfer.

That's the word on the street.

Two members of the media picked us to win the conference

Those two should report on stuff they understand.

Football is more than winning games.  Our kids win in the heart department.  Our kids win in the classroom.  Our kids win...

Snyder's 2nd coaching run has come to end.  We'll always have 2012.

Snyder in the post game comments said he can't coach a team that can't get 6 inches.
?????
Your idiot offense coach called for a pitch out instead of a sneak or run.
Snyder is getting Oscarery like, and throwing people under the bus.  He is getting kind of surely.

I thought the post-game was odd.  Most often, Snyder puts blame on himself or his coaching staff.  Today he put all the blame on his players.  This seems suspicious to me.  I think Snyder doesn't want anyone to know that he's not really been coaching and allowing Sean to take the reigns.  If he blames himself or his staff, that'll just poison the Sean Snyder well.

Guys they wave to the children's hospital. What a sweet and original tradish!

they're waving for the children to come out so they can rape and assault them, you fool.

Child rape jokes.  Classy.  You folks claim this guy?

Not cool.  We're better than that.

When I was a student at KSU, I delivered pizza.  I once delivered pizza to Meshak Williams and Arthur Brown was there too.  I'm a little guy at 5'6 and those two men were the largest dudes I have ever seen.  They were cool and they tipped, which says a lot.

Well, it should be said that the NCAA is on the skids.  Viewership is down and the players will inevitably go somewhere else to chase the money at that age.  If the NCAA wants to maintain that the kids are student-athletes and that college sports is all just for amateurs, then that's what they're gonna get.

Here's an interesting article that sets up the Pac Pro Football program, a new league designed to "train" up kids who are NFL ineligible due to age and will get paid to play: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2017/01/11/pacific-pro-football-league-developmental-college-ed-mccaffrey/96416744/

If you want to know more about it, they have their own website now: http://www.pacificprofootball.com/

Maybe it's to say, "we know we stink" or to hide the smell coming from our sidelines.

Game day & still plenty of tickets left in your High School stadium.

Early corn harvest.  Someone's gotta feed your stills.  You know, the ones that make that awful hooch you drink enough to think that your cousin is do-able (only at Ole Miss).

I would like to amend my original post after watching @+ quarters of this Mississippi State shitshow to include these two things that are wacky only because they haven't happened forever but undoubtedly will this year:

1. This will be the first team in 10 years to lose to Iowa State.
2. Draft streak goes kaput.

Eh, as long as Risner eats his steak and potatoes and does lots of bench presses, he'll make it in.

College football was ruined when the Big 12 broke up.

*Screwed it up.

It might rain, it has rained before, but then again it might not.

Given the recent flooding, this statement is a bit too soon.

LOL, it took about 5 posts, on KSO, for a thread about Last Chance U to devolve into posters bitching about how everything is racist "these days."

Saw this. Also saw the "Rewatching the game" thread devolve into "OMG look at those boobies."

For real though, she was doing the Wabash Cannonball all wrong.  It looked good, but she was doing it wrong.
