The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: Gender Issues
« on: Today at 03:10:29 PM »
But it would need to be IRL. I am not good at discussing issues that can become really emotionally charged online- which is why i don’t pit and pretty much at this point just sign on here sporadically. In my younger goEMAW days i got into some threads i regret because they became unhelpful and often mean spirited, and i didn’t like what it brought out in me.

With the news this week, i have been thinking a lot about this issue politically and otherwise. I would be up for an IRL discussion with someone who sees this issue differently than i do sometime- to help me better understand the other side*. If anyone wants to have that discussion to better understand one another- DM me and let’s set up a time to grab coffee and hang.

I can't imagine how embarrassed I'd be telling a waiter to withhold a part of a dish without having a severe allergy.

I know we lost the big game, but I think a bit more of a victory lap is in order. 14-2, back to back to back AFC Championship games at Arrowhead, back to back Lamars, it crashed hard but it was a p fun ride.

What were some of your favorite moments from the 2020/21 Chiefs seas? I'll go first.

Kelce TD to take the lead in Las Vegas
Mahomes rushing TD in the Browns game and he just chucks the ball into the stands
Coach Reid's foggy shield
Hill backflip in Tampa
The entire first half at Baltimore

I'm hopeful Clark has a big season in him in 2021.

My mom suffered from Alzheimer's the last 10 years of her life and it is a horrible disease.  I feel bad for his family but I know there is probably a sense of relief that he's not suffering anymore.

Same here. My mom is still alive, and earlier in the process, but there is no doubt of where it's headed.  :frown:

Ah Pete I'm so sorry man. Ps.

Let me be the first to say here on goEMAW.com that 19-0 is in play next seas.

I am not too concerned about the WR2, hardman is fine

this is crazy. the only thing the chiefs should be doing for the next decade + is leverage mahomes, which means surrounding him with weapons and protection

yup

There's not much to say. About everything that can go wrong did. The penalties, the horrible OL play, the dropped passes, the clock before half, and about a dozen other things made it probably the worst game the Chiefs have played since they got blown out on SNF to Pitt in 2016. It was painful to watch, however, I really enjoyed the season. Pass rusher, WR2, all spots on the OL, back up QB all need to be addressed in the off seas. Also, cut that punter.

We'll always have the goal line stand.

Chiefs fans should probably chill on being hyper focused on Mahomes vs Brady legacy. I got pretty tired of the talking point leading up to the game. Its going to be a lot more fun the next decade watching Mahomes and the team on their own merits without looking back to Brady all the time.

I agree with most of that. They had a bad game plan, bad in game decision making, legit issues on the line, and bad plays made by players, all came together to make it be a crap show.

I am not too concerned about the WR2, hardman is fine, if you get someone else great but I don't think that's that big a deal, same with the punter, he can boom the crap out if it, he just needs to be more consistent, his play IMO didn't effect the game that much. O-line for sure and pass rush do need to be addressed, but o-line first.

Listen, they can win a super bowl with these wideouts, but I'd like to see them upgrade WR2. I'm greedy.

The sequence at the end of the 1st half was just straight up PAINFUL tho. Give them timeout, give them timeout, PI, PI, touchdown. I felt pain in my heart.

I've kind of moved on from the season. I'm already looking past the Bucs and onto a 3 or 4peat.
