We'll see...

We even got an honest to God "the setting" post in there too:

One thing we should know by now is football stadium location is meaningless. We probably have a top 10 location and we’ve sucked forever. KSU and ISU have horrendous locations and they’ve kicked the crap out of us recently. If you’re good your location will suddenly become good. I’d hate to see memorial torn down but it makes a lot of sense to build new in some field.

I mean...it probably just sneaks in as a top 10 location if you're just talking about the Big 12 I guess, but that's about it.

Yes, their stadium on the far north side of their campus is a much better location than our stadium on the far north side of our campus and flood aggie's location on the far east side of theirs.
But theirs is near a sledding hill and a pond full of sewage and a goalpost from a win two decades ago.

Kansas State Football / Re: BSFS Expansion Thread

Per the Regents facilities report, we're budgeting $3 million for more work on the East side of the stadium in a couple of years.

The newest football indoor facility and the volleyball and Olympic training facility are budgeted for FY 2025.

Subject to change, of course.

With the band moving back to the student section, it sounds like there will be some renovation taking place in the NE EZ space that was literally just designed for the band a few years ago.....
Hadn't heard this. Not a fan of moving them again. I liked where we put them. I assume we're doing this because the students suck balls and assholes at attending games?

Does your new topic button thingie not work correctly?
I have a habit of only clicking the replies button anymore. I didn't realize this blog had new topics.

Not a sports bettor but I'm full degen. Best scores this year have been nice. That $4k winner should've been multiple times but I was rushed. Only punched it one time.

I love gambling but I wouldn't even begin to know how to bet on the ponies.

Things are getting frothy at the phog. They're pretty convinced and excited that it's either the army or Buffalo coach, either of which is widely accepted as the best hire in decades at KU. They're back, guys.

Every time with these jokers.

OMG Turner Gill is the hot young up and comer and WE, THE KANSAS JAYHAWKS SNAGGED HIM! BEST. HIRE. EVER.

Wow! We got Charlie Weis?!? Sure his time didn't end well at ND but he took them to a Fiesta AND a Sugar bowl (You also might of heard about his time with the patriots). I'LL TAKE THAT OMG YES I WILL! BEST. HIRE. EVER.

David Beatty was the perfect guy to help us rebuild after front butt. Nothing flashy but this was the best hire we could of made.

LES Frickin MILES? The guy who won a national title and played for another? What other candidate out there has that kind of resume? Jeff Long just made the best hire of the off season IMO.
All that being said, hiring either Monken or Leipold is the best hire they'll have made in decades. I guess there's argument that Gill was as good of a hire as Monken or Leipold but you have to go back to Mangino ('02) otherwise.

The Korean wings w/ gochujang ranch at Tallgrass TapHouse are best wings in MHK these days. The wings at Moe's in St. George aren't too shabby either.

I think Irish whiskey is very good. I think I may be done with bourbon for a while. Just getting into it. I’ve enjoyed Tullamore DEW and Busker. Looking for Green Spot after reading good reviews about it. Any other recommendations?

KSU hospitality has been doing pop up restaurants on Mondays with some interesting international food.  I'm trying their Filipino food today.

Let's face it, people in Alabama certainly don't want an education so of course they'll have high out-of-state numbers.

Looks at UA instate enrollment . . . very close to K-State's total undergraduate enrollment
That couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that Alabama has 2 million more residents than KS  :dubious:

12
Alabama is not quite as good of a state as North Dakota is. Here are the out-of-state enrollment numbers for proof:

Quote
7. North Dakota State University (Fargo, ND): 65%
8. The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL): 63%

Those both are unbelievable.

Fargo is essentially in Minnesota and I'm pretty certain Minnesotans get in state tuition. I've already laid out Alabama's out of state appeal. It's mecca for the trashiest of southerners. It's the backup school for kids too stupid for ole piss, miss state, and auburn. It's also essentially west georgia/northwest florida community college.
Wait...it's easier to get into Bama than Miss St and Auburn?

I deep fried my first brisket yesterday. It was fantastic.
Had to look it up. Had no idea this was a thing but it sounds great

Huh.  Dog park friends just tonight said they were going to put a tri tip in the air fryer for dinner.  I just don’t know what to think about this fried beef revolution.
Air fryer and deep fryer seem like two very different animals.

Most of them involve intentionally throwing a ball 90+ at someone’s ribs. Pretty clear cut there.

Most of them involve a bunch of posturing and punches are rarely thrown. It's a lot of spectacle. Let the pitcher/hitter duke it out like they do in hockey if it's going to be an actual part of the game.

Good grief, Dax, at least hold onto what little dignity you had.

I also don't understand what Texas was upset about there. Baseball "brawls" are usually pretty dumb.

I am absolutely pro KU hiring another big name. at least it's eventful.

Wait, you would consider this a "big name" hire? I dunno, maybe I just don't follow college football enough.
I don't think that's what he was saying.

LOL, can't believe you're still running with this one. There are literal videos of people beating cops with a variety of different items. It's confirmed that Sicknick and two other officers were sprayed with a substance (probably bearspray). Even if Sicknick's death comes out to be a stroke or a heart attack it was certainly triggered by the riot. But, no big deal, he wasn't beheaded on capitol grounds so there wasn't a threat at all.

Was at the game tonight. I don't follow college baseball at all but their starter was throwing pitches in the 60's before they pulled him. I have a nephew that has his eye on college ball that's in high school throwing mid-eighties. I like his chances if APB's pitcher is the norm.

Gatez was a huge trump darling

I had him, Hawley, and Cotton always fighting to be the trumpiest young 'pub and eventually run for president.  Gaetz should be about finished and maybe Hawley, although I don't know that he's totally dead yet.
They're all three despicable pos but Gaetz is on a different level. Hawley and Cotton at least strike me as intelligent people. Gaetz is an absolute moron.

Dax, you fall for a lot of stupid stuff you see online.

It really is truly remarkable considering all of the projection from Dax about believing everything on Twitter, MSM, etc. Buttigieg literally shared the video Dax posted of him on his own Twitter account:

Does Kites still have the largest lighted dance floor in the state?
Heh, I don't know if it's still the largest but they still have it. I don't believe it will be around much longer. I think they plan to do some renovations on the north side of the restaurant.
High end bar on that side. Also rally house will be going bye bye and is going to be a badass brewery
I heard the brewery is going to go where PieFive was. Hadn't heard RallyHouse was going anywhere.
Update on this...the brewery (if it comes to fruition) will go in the space next to Kite's that currently houses a vape shop.
