The SEMAFOR economic article in the mainstream thread . . . reminded me that they broke the story about the Iranian spy that Joe Biden made "point guy" on Iran.

No bigger friend to the terror state of Iran than Pedo Pete and company.

What a minute, I thought Joe started this war in 2024 and just bombed Iran?  Why would Joe do that to his best friend?  Was this autopen again?   :shakesfist:

Start?

Don't recall saying that.

Participant . . . absolutely.
who started it if not Pedo Pete?

We (or at least I) watch sports for entertainment. If the celebration is memorable were you not entertained?

Modest Mouse at Grinders last night was ok. They sounded great, but didn't play many hits at all. It was pretty bizarre and everyone was sure they were going to come back and play a couple, but house lights came on and that was it.
I've seen them twice. The time I saw them at Grinders was terrible. They came on late, played for 45 minutes and then were promptly done. When I saw them at Starlight they played a great set and sounded like they wanted to be there. From what I've read that's how it goes with them. Just depends on Isaac Brock's mood that day.

yeah, i've heard the same. He is apparently sober now so it's been going good for them lately. He did come out in a full suit and immediately say how hot it was. That could have been the reason. It wasn't that short of a set. Just found it odd that they didn't play, Float On, Ocean Breathes Salty, Missed the Boat, etc. I thought they sounded pretty good overall though.
he had the full suit at Starlight too and if my memory serves me correctly they didn't play Float On. I think they kind of hate that song because of the fame it brought them. Stupid, I know, but musicians are weird.

I get annoyed by all the lame ass celebrations in baseball and really most sports now.

I will maintain to my grave (soon since I'm old) that the most devastating celebration will always be to act like what you just did is the most boring, normal, easiest thing in the world for you.

Just to clarity, for you the point of a celebration is to inflict emotional damage on your opponent?

I guess I'm referring more to planned, look-at-me, show up the opponent celebrations rather than emotional spontaneous ones.
Avery doing the Deion dance after his first TD in Boulder was great. Howard and I can't remember who miming shotgunning beers was incredible. Haliburton giving the choke sign to the Knicks was fantastic. Lighten up, Francis.

Tucker seems to be attempting to go even farther right than MAGA and it is quite something to behold.

That’s true but then he goes the other way and puts Raphael “Ted” Cruz in an absolutely bespoke clown suit regarding attacking Iran

I don't know that it's the 32x best burger in KC as they advertise, but the Westport Flea Market burger is quite good

It is quite good
Can confirm. It was very tasty.

remember simpler times when Russia amassed troops on the Ukraine border and Biden called out every move they made on the way to invasion

and then somehow pubs blamed Biden for Russian aggression...

take a moment to juxtapose that versus us unilaterally bombing a nation that poses 0 literal risk to us
Well it's important to remember that this is technically Eisenhower's war because of US involvement in Iran in the 50's. Trump is simply dealing with the crap sandwich handed to him by Ike.

Just an observation but I'm almost 40 years old and the U S of A has literally been bombing the middle east for my entire life. Iraq, Afghanistan (more central asia but works), Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iran, etc (probably missing a couple).
not to be a dick, but you're just now realizing this? Look at Africa next.

Present dax will now have to decide if past dax was right that trump 1.0 did not start a war with Iran or if waks is right that Biden did not start a war with Iran. Let's see how he untwists this knot.

Hey guys/gals we’re going to start shooting down Iranian drones and missiles for Israel but none of you guys/gals will be able to claim any combat experience or say you were in a combat theatre cus it’s not “real” war . . . waks

didn't the Saudis and several other Arab nations also assist in shooting down Iranian missiles in 2024? So they're at war with Iran too? Damn

I don't know waks, did they? Are they?

It's just combat . . . not war (waks)

Viewers of this blog should note the United States has been engaged with Israel in the direct war with Iran since the Fall of 2024. #blueanongE being the dipshits that they are always manage to forget that fact.

Shooting down missiles in Israeli airspace =/= missile strikes and bombings Dax

And I dont think I'll ever see another arena show, they almost always disappoint
The only arena show I've ever seen that didn't disappoint was Springsteen and I was close up on the floor. Sturgill Simpson at the Cable Dahmer way probably the last I'll ever do. The sightlines are just horrible at arena shows unless you're looking straight on.

I prefer arena shows. Cable Dahmer is so small, if you didn't like it there I definitely get not wanting to see a show at T-Mobile. Are you guys only watching concerts at theatres and small concert halls? Cable Dahmer is smaller than most outdoor venues too.
Midland, Uptown, Stiefel, Starlight, Red Rocks - the common denominator is that the venues were designed for shows - not sporting events. Obviously Kendrick and SZA aren't performing in any of these smaller venues do I get it if that's your only way to see them. I was stunned that Jack White played the Uptown because he could have sold out T-Mobile.

Chipotle is open until 11pm now. Has me worried about some late night cravings after evening beers considering it's a five minute walk from my house.

indiana looks like a team of destiny. they’re getting so much out of the bench, okc can’t beat that.
the old “team of destiny” curse.

indiana played not to lose tonight and the defense okc played in the 4th was lock down. this loss could cost the pacers the championship.

the sga whistles are bad tho

He got away with a ridiculous offensive foul followed by a travel that put them up 1 and I didn't think the Pacers ever got the lead back after. The Pacers of course followed that up by missing a ton of free throws. What a bummer.
